Personally I've always believed that the intent behind the word is far more important than the word used. It's quite possible to use swear words to entertain or emphasise a point, or to use polite words to insult people.

OT: I don't curse that often, mostly for emphasis. So I have no fucking problem with it.

This. In order to convey emotion on the interweb, ya gotta color-up the language. When I'm whining about a game, a well placed word of curse goes a long way.
