Well, considering it's almost identical to normal flu then I'm not sure.
However I did have a very severe case of flu about the time people were raising awareness of it and I was bedridden for 3 days. Then there was the flu I got about a month before Christmas when I was only bedridden for 2 days.
But seriously, I always said it wasn't a risk unless you were sick or old, some people need to watch Newswipe...
Yeah I did. that was the worst week of my life. I woke up in the middle of the night and it felt like I was on fire but when I checked the thermostat it was 66F degrees. I stared coughing the next day and then it was a week of throwing up, coughing, and generally feeling like shit. Worst part was that the Doc told me not to come in and quarantined me to my apartment. I got the shot 2 months later (as soon as it was available).
I didn't get the shot, but I got the swine flu. According to the doctor I went to it's simply like the regular flu and that it's not the swine flu that kills people. Instead they get infections or some other virus's because they have swine flu and those kill them. She said the media was just hyping it up, she also said there was a similar thing a few years back called Chinese Flu.
I tried, but the damn pig was greased up and kept getting away.
OT: I got the shot, didn't get the flu. Anyone who thinks the shot causes the flu needs to do some more research, injection based vacination involves a dead virus. Not alive, not active, but stone dead. It is an ex-virus.
