Sword of the Stars 2 Report-A-Bug

As we all probably know right now, the SotS2 development team has ballsed up their release big time, making the game crash during game play at best and simply not work at worst.

So I say we report our findings here to see if our issues are universal or personal.

Whenever I start the game via Steam, I get a failed to open webpage with play game, options, and exit. I press play and I get the game spy logo and it just quits out without a bug report of any kind.

It wont let me play the game fullscreen, only windowed, and thats regardless of whether or not Ive checked/unchecked the appropriate box in the options menu. Also its horrifically slow in all regards and seems to just eat up processor power for no good reason at all, i cant play the game for more than 30-40 minutes at a time because my processor overheats and crashes the system. And all that is just from looking at the fucking star map, i havent even seen combat yet and i doubt i will get to at this rate. And its not like im running a terrible pc;

cpu- AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4Ghz
Graphics- 2x Sapphire Vapor-X HD5750 1Gb
Ram- 4Gb

If the official system requirements are to be believed then my rig should eat this game up without a problem. DAMN YOU KERBEROS, PATCHES NOW PLEASE!!
