I'm going with Barrett, beacuse you listen to Interstellar Overdrive and look me in the eye and say Gilmour is better. Not knocking Gilmour, I mean for god sacs he made Comfortably Numb, but Barrett, all I got to say is "That cat's something I cant explain"

Bahahaha- God sacs.

I've more experience with Gilmour, and since he was the driving force behind Floyd becoming my favourite band, I'm already predisposed to go for him.

Besides: Shine on You Crazy Diamond.

Like... C'mon.

Gonna take Barrett too. He's much more creative then Gilmour ever would be. Now, Gilmour made amazing music, but Barrett's music is much much more amazing.

I love them both. In terms of insane genius, Syd beats everyone - but man, Gilmour is my favourite guitarist of all time. Nobody else could make their guitar sing and weep like he could.

I do enjoy both, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Gilmour, because I love The Division Bell so much. I know I'm in the minority on that, but it was a good album I think.

Both are fantastic, but I prefer Gilmour's stuff.

His guitar work in some of the later albums is the best I've ever heard.

Waters.

I mean, really, how is this not even an option? Not only did he write Pink Floyds best stuff, he also had the best solo career.

Barett made some truly new and exciting music, but Gilmour made the Division Bell, and that album is... just... great.

I'm going to go with Gilmour. His stuff seemed much more refined, and I know the whole point of Barrett's music was to be crazy and insane, but even the crazy stuff Gilmour did was better IMO. Plus, Gimour did all of the guitars on Wish You Were Here, which is...well...just go listen to it.

Probsbly Gilmour, he played on the couple of Floyd songs that don't bore me to tears when I'm sober.
Which would those be?
Only a few, Money and a few tracks from Wish You Were Here. I quite like Pink Floyd in some circumstances, but they're not a band I can just sit down and listen to.

Woohoo, another Division Bell fan. It's not their best album, but I don't see why it got the flak that it did. Waters openly trashed it when it was released, but I really like it.
Plus, High Hopes really does feel like the finale for Pink Floyd. Looking back on everything, lost and found.

To me, it just sums up nostalgia for the earlier times in a single song. One of my favorite Pink Floyd tunes.

I say Barrett because I have absolutely no idea who these people are or why I should care and his name instantly makes me think of this guy:

Pink Floyd. And David Gilmour could kick Barrett's gun hand ass with his guitar solos.

I can agree on that, a lot of people don't like Gilmour led Pink Floyd, but I find my self listing to A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, and besides Division Bell had one of the few songs that Richard Wright had lead vocals.

Yeah, Waters was Pink Floyd in a sense, but he was kind of a dick, especially to David Gilmour when it came to writing tracks for The Final Cut, and he forced Richard Wright to leave, which is something you don't do. As an artist though, he is amazing.

I'd have to say Gilmour.

I don't really listen to Pink Floyd very much but I know and like about 6 or 7 songs, almost all of which are Gilmour's work. I love Comfortably Numb and Sorrow especially.

Yeah, but to be fair, Barrett didnt really have a chance to refine his stuff because, you know, being fucking off the wall and stuff.
