I like it I think it's cool and everything has to have some kind of innovation now and again. Warehouse 13 and Eureka gotta love them.

Crap utter crap. Not really, I don't really care myself but the the name is certainly equally if not more retarded.

The name change was strange, but there's still good shows so I'm happy. Eureka, Warehouse 13, reruns of SG1, etc.

I rarely watched Sci Fi back then, the name might be stupid, but if there's something good on, I'll watch it. Just don't name it something totally different, and it's kind of original. I wouldn't say kudos to the naming team, but hey, whatever, sounds the same.

Such a useless, unnecessary design change. Why bother? We knew what the old spelling was, the new one isn't stylish or hip, it's just dumb. I don't see how it's going to get them any more viewers or make their stupid made-for-tv movies any better.

Did they only change the name? Or did they majorly change the programming too?

I like it a bit odd but as a whole the name is not really important, I do like the syFy original shows are really good, Also do they still run Doctor Who?

Sci-fi channel changed their name to SyFy, apparently because the name of "Sci-Fi channel" was attracting the wrong demographic. I think it's a bit dumb, myself. But hey, since when have TV execs listened to the viewers?

Pathetic name change. Don't really watch the channel, screw TV as a whole.
Alrighty then.

Don't care that much, I only watch Ghost Hunters on that channel. However, I do think it was a clever name change.

Not disagreeing with you, but why do you think it was clever?

Programming-wise, what changed? I flip around occasionally, and I still see the same crappy B-movies and some other shows that've been there all along. So uh... how would this make the channel more appealing to a new audience if not much changes?

Yeah, I saw the name change for the first time yesterday. I actually pronounced it as "Sihfee", so I thought I was watching a different network altogether. But then I realized the channel number was Sci-Fi...then it sunk in, and I had to ask myself "Why? WHY?"

So I like any other curious fellow, I looked it up on Google.

As you can see, only geeks are blessed with the ability to spell.

Huh....that's weird. I always thought the Sci-Fi name was sort of self-explanatory.
