Pathetic name change. Don't really watch the channel, screw TV as a whole.

Don't care that much, I only watch Ghost Hunters on that channel. However, I do think it was a clever name change.

Not disagreeing with you, but why do you think it was clever?

Sci-Fi, to Syfy. I don't know really, something about it just made me think hmm... clever idea.

I do not watch it. Therefore I am technically bland and lacking in opinion. However, from a purely grammatical stance, I dislike it. It looks like they went to the nearest street urchin, sat texting away in an abysmal attempt at basic English, and asked them how to spell Sci-Fi, then removed the profanity and used the remainder of their answer as the new channel name.

I think it's a stupid name coupled with a channel that occasionally has something good. Their attempt to be new-age and hip just made 'em look dumb. I only watch it for Star Trek or the X-Files but it's been a long time.

I think that the name is dumb and the font looks like it belong on HGTV. The catch phrase is okay but the rest bugs me. It's too generic. I think they should bring back the logo with saturn in it.

i think its just stupid that they changed the name. YAY FOR ILETERECY!!

but seriously. no more stargate or stargate atlantis? that channel is going to fail hardcore. it's going to take some serious badass-ness from stargate U to keep it alive. oh and maybe a season two of sanctuary might help...

Ah, SciFi. (Now SyFy. Whatever) I love their made-for-TV movies. They take themselves so seriously, but they are hilarious. Anyone else wathc Sci- I mean, SyFy Original movies just for laughs?

People need to stop "/thread"ing themselves. It's pretty pretentious.

I remember reading an article what must be almost a year ago about how they were changing the name to make it more "hip" and appealing to a younger audience. I remember beating my head into a wall for a while after that. Then black for a while.

I guess the only thing to do now is cancel all their good programming to make more shitty Sci-Fi original movies.
