Being I'm original, (I think?) I still have my PS2.
I still have to sit and wait as I earn enough money to buy
myself the new installment in consolling, but come by the game
'Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror' being a PSP game, it moved to the PS2, so I couldn't
resist, as the brand 'Syphon Filter' is my top favorite game.

I don't know what to complain about first, should it be the gameplay?
I wish I could but Sony Entertainment have taken that ability away. NOW all you do
is take two steps, shoot three guys and wait during a discussion between Logan
and Lian chattering away. I remember 'Syphon Filter' on the PSone. The discussion
between them were very fast, and clear, like you ACTUALLY understood the storyline.
Now with this release, cut-scenes are more important than gameplay.

Then we have the mission breaks. Like TV shows with advertizments, each mission
is SPLIT into chapters, being in the same place, but walking through a door
meaning a new chapter. The storyline seems like something ripped out of a Tom Clancy
book and used as toilet paper. The one part I like is the return of playing Logan,
being a husky-voiced individual, you get to run around, watch with put his left hand
up to his ear and listen to Lian, you think by now Logan has suffered ear cancer
from listening to Lian winge and order him around for the past ten years.

Now the plot is nothing new, you basically play Logan, and Lian in some scenes trying
to take down an orginization called 'Red Section' in which has a secret project called
'Dark Mirror' which Logan and Lian need to find out before it's too late.
Now a new feature in this is having a cross-hair for the first time, Syphon Filter was all
about the lock-on's and firing, now you have to aim. It's like a company visited Sony
Entertainment, with a Magnum, put it to the game developers head and ordered them to
make changes, which mind you are shithouse.

My advice, ALL games are worth one shot, I did play this till the end, even though it took
less than 8 hours to finish, but it's worth a shot, play it and see for yourself?
Am I wrong? You can complain, but whilst you do so i'll be sitting by my PSone playing
the original 'Syphon Filter', have fun!

Not really that good. You don't have any sort of detail on anything. You just point out that it's mostly story. Give us a little more depth on the gameplay, or what little there is. Give us examples.

Ok let me see, some examples...
Ah yes, so for example about the cut-scenes, remember how in the original they gave you the option to wether press triangle and listen to Lian? Well that's out of the picture, you will have to stop everything goes black, and takes fifteen minutes of your life away as Lian either tells you were SHE is or what you need to do and it is added to your objectives list.
Another example, of a mission would be were you need to somehow or rather climb up a tall mansion house, enter the main room and steal something or rather, what I find frustrating is that you'll be waiting a life-time before you find a good root. As there are seven patrolling guards, all armed with heavy machine guns, it's easy enough to shoot them with your silencer, but then another guard will see him and then your cover is blown.

It happens when I climb up a certain pipe, then a guard patrolling along a walkway would see me, shoot me so I lose some health, then i'll need to jump off the pole, causing a drop, taking MORE health off then shoot the bugger.
The health bar is the same, with it's ordernary blue bar ontop indicating the 'flak jacket' and for some what reason Gabe has a new lovable weapon, it use to be the electric shocker, sending an electric string over to someone and holding it down so you see him burn, but now he has this massive rifle with four in one, YES four in one.
One being normal bullets (unfortunantly they're not silenced) two gas bullets, shoot this near a crowded place, and knock all these guys out for a sneaky escape, bomb bullets, reverse this idea, shoot this in a crowd and watch all the enemies blow up, and the shocker bullets, shoot this at a gaurd, then press fire again, this will send a shock into the guard and knocking them out.

You get to play Lian, but being this is a 'mans' game the developers instead of what they done in Syphon Filter two only put her in 2 chapters, not missions, CHAPTERS. Let me explain chapters more clear, you have about 9 missions, all split into about 5 chapters, and for example for how short these chapters are, one part of a chapter is when you play Gabe, you climb through a tunnel, pop up in a room, see two gaurds by a bunch of computers, send holy crackers (bullets) their way, then find a Doctor who is tied up, talk to him for a couple of seconds, he'll tell you where to go, he dies. Another two or three guards enter room, shoot them and then take a door, it's that easy.

Another thing I forgot to mention, since creating 'Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain' that was full of unlockables and footage, well Dark Mirror does the same, once completing story mode (which won't take you that long) you will get to have unlockable missions, completely different to the storyline, and get to unlock new weapons, and mission mode. Mission mode is when you can replay a mission, but at the start get to pick what weapons you want, and what you need to accomplish to get a certain rank, meaning when you get a new rank you get a new weapon. For example, If you killed more people silently than blasting machine gun bullets at them you'll be awarded the Silent Assassin award, and give you a certificate and a modified weapon, like a machine gun with a silencer strapped to it.

I think that's about all examples as I can give you, probably,
But try the game (Rent it) and see for yourself!
