I havent played Magic in awhile either, but they always add rules so Id prefer to play with people who play older stuff. I still can though, and a few weeks ago I played with my dad, brother, and dad's buddies and though manipulation and timing..and luck, I won.
Currently me and my brother are starting up a DnD group, though we have never actually played PnP. Neither has his friends who will be the rets of the group so we have an edge, and I will be DM probably and we can always do it our way.

I think they remade it recently. Lots of fun again, much more so than the main games of 40K and WFB. Myself, I play a bit of the above with some warmachine.
I doubt it, Game Workshop seems to have abandoned all those smaller games from back in the day... WHQ, Space Hulk, Necromunda, etc..
You can still play them though! I've got a lot of the pdfs from before they took down the SG site, so myself and my mates still have lots of fun.

EDIT: I was thinking of this though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warhammer_Fantasy_Roleplay. Now that game is a lot of fun. Not Quest, though I've played that, Hero Quest and Space Hulk.
Oh, of course I still play, the link in my original post is a website for hardcore WHQ players, you can make new dungeons and quests that weren't initially included. It's fantastic.

-Any of the Blizzard board games (Warcraft, WoW, Starcraft) are pretty fun and very simple.
-Talisman: Simple. And also: fun.
My friend had the Starcraft board game... but it was in his trunk when he got into a car accident and he didn't take it out before getting rid of the car. So I never go to play it.. *sigh*.

He also keeps trying to get me to play Talisman, I have yet to try it.

Magic: the Gathering is my CCG of choice. D&D Minis/RPG is good too. Why is everyone so down on 4e, I actually hear good things about it.

Play it but be aggressive. The game is a bit naff if people just play passively and just try to better themselves as best they can.

A few years back, some co-workers got me playing Magic: The Gathering. Unfortunately I don't see them much anymore and no one else I know plays. Plus I never really got the rules down, so I can't really teach anyone else to play. So I've been stuck now with hundreds of Magic cards that I keep in a drawer next to my condoms (No joke).
The drawer is labeled, "Things that prevent my dick from touching a vagina."

In all seriousness though, I really enjoy Space Hulk. My boss and I used to have a game set up in his office we would play when we could get around to it.

I'm also a big fan of D&D for Dummies, known as Hero Quest. It's kinda dumb overall but it has a certain charm to it that I can't quite explain (or understand).

Basically.... actually I don't use condoms anymore, but I thought it'd be funnier than saying "drawer where I USED to keep my condoms". But they did, for a time, share the same space.

We actually use Hero Quest figures for Warhammer Quest... they essentially use the same monsters.

Munchkin. It's An rpg, in card form. And quite humorous.
Oh, yeah. I've got a big soft spot for Steve Jackson and his band of merry men. I'm a cheapAss gamer all the way.

My son's finally old enough to play Pokemon, I'd been saving those damn cards for 6 years! He doesn't yet grasp the concept of strategy but we still have lots of fun

Other than that my main stays are:

MAGIC i.e. Money the Wasting;
D&D (Mostly 3.5 but I've no qualms with 2nd and I can stomach the bit of 4th we're playing now);
BANG!;
Zombies;
A MTG TC-RPG that I've been working on using 4th ed D20 (God, the SRD on 4th ed is FAIL! That game is so incomplete!);
Kill Dr. Lucky;
Bella Sara Online (WITH MY DAUGHTER!);
Chess;
and MAGIC; :p

Our area is too cool for D&D, but I do play a mean Dark Eldar army. And then about 2 years ago I picked up an Empire army becuase quite frankly, once you master Dark Eldar... you're just a lean green raping machine.

I used to play a weird homebrew D&D'ish game, we used an old clue board as the map, I don't remember much about it but I do remember it was fun. *nostalgic sigh*

... Signed. We table-toppers need to stick together, we're the real old school gamers!

I don't play WH, but I play LOTS of other stuff....

Magic: the Gathering still counts, right? And I've experimented with many RPGs like D&D, World of Darkness, GURPS, and Rifts... I'm involved in a large, home-brew fantasy campaign at the moment...

I liked a lot of the games that WizKids [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiz_Kids] made, like HeroClix and the pirates PockedModel game... Then Topps Trading Cards made a dick move and bought all their IPs only to shut them down....

The other company I really like right now is Fantasy Flight Games [www.fantasyflightgames.com/]. They tend to specialize in over-sized, almost over complicated board games with multiple expansions, like Arkham Horror [http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite.asp?eidm=6&enmi=Arkham%20Horror] and Twilight Imperium [http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite.asp?eidm=21&enmi=Twilight%20Imperium%203rd%20Edition]. I highly recommend both of these games if you can overcome their prices and learning curves....

I've recently gotten into D&D myself, and me and the family often play Munchkin (brilliant game).

Thing is, I don't have many places to go to or people to play these games with. We only have one game place near where I live, and even that is 40 miles away, and I can't even drive.

Do a bit of D&D 3.5 and I also play the original World of Darkness. I occasionally play Munchkin. My group and I used the World of Darkness Hunter sheets and system to run a makeshift battletech/mechwarrior campaign. We also ran a mechwarrior campaign and a Gundam campaign using BESM. I also do Wizkids Battletech miniatures Mechwarrior: Age of Destruction game.
My friend has Risk 2210 A.D. that we sometimes play.
I still have my magic the gathering cards.
Haven't played checkers in a while, but have only met a few people I couldn't beat. Would love to learn backgammon. I stink at chess though.
Do games such as Rummikub, phase ten etc count?

In regards to the thread title asking us to 'unite' I was going to quote LOTR with 'You have my sword' but...technically that wouldn't actually be applicable.

I used to play Warhammer 40K (and I still have my Space Marine force as a momento of the good old days) and have recently begun playing DnD (I usually play as a human Paladin).

Never let it be said that I never give anything a chance (or I shall be left with no choice but to smite ye).

Does Settlers of Catan count? I'm pretty badass at that game.

I play AD&D, DBM, Hordee of the things, City Fight, Block Wars and Magic: The Gathering. But the new cards for Magic are crap.

When I was a little younger I'd play Dungeons and Dragons all the time. However, I stopped playing when my friends' younger siblings insisted on joining the group and every session became a pandemonium of juvenile insults and furiously checking rulebooks. I've played a little Warhammer 40000 lately, because my cousin's gotten into it, and I really enjoy the ludicrously grim, dark, badass version of the future the game portrays. I don't have the money for an actual army yet, but I'm saving up for a decent-sized Tau force.
