Can't wait for the weekend to visit the Spiel 2014 Expo in Essen either. Last time I got the new Shadowrun rule book so..there's that :D

I started with DSA (Dark Eye, edition 1, bit of 2 and more of 3) when I was 16 or something like that. Played for a few years then too many of our group left or had to work etc.
Started playing Shadowrun several years later in university but the group broke up after a year or so. Now I'm playing DSA in one group, will start playing Shadowrun in another group and probably will assemble my own group as DM for Shadowrun. Might be a bit much but I'll have to see how it turns out.

My first ever RPG was a great little game called Unhallowed Metropolis. You basically play in a post-apocalyptic neo-Victorian world where a zombie apocalypse hit in 1905 and humanity has spent 200 years climbing back to be about on par with pre-apocalypse levels. Vampires, ghouls, psychics, ghosts, frankenstein's monster and other things all abound. Top hats and zombie killing and a hefty dose of a horror. Good times.

I'm currently running Mummy: The Curse, one of the New World of Darkness games, for my group. Beautiful game, easily my favourite tabletop RPG.
