So UK Escapists, sometime in the summer, I will be in London!

So... What's there to do in London? Have any good pubs or tourist spots?

Plus, I'll totally bring my Taco head!

Oh, the places are good I suppose. Madame Tussauds and the the theatres, the London Eye and having tea with Queenie.

OT: You could go to all the famous landmarks but they're basically tourist traps. When I go into London I like just walking around and feeling the different vibes you get in different areas. It's a very cultured city and there's much more to it than just "Big Ben" and "the London Eye".

But I have had problems with them! There and Edinburgh was pretty bad too. Just because you don't have problems, you don't tell me to "stick it" because I did. If you came to stay with me for a bit, you might hate how quiet and uneventful it is in my area.
My city is obviously smaller an less busy but oh my God, the people who dwell inside my city... To say I couldn't deal with a lot of London people is saying something >.<

Never been to Paris but we get a lot of French people come into my work and I don't know if it's just they have a different culture over there but they don't seem to know the words "please" and "thank you"...

I will take back the "London sucks" bit though because it is actually a good city it's just the atmosphere I hate. Love going to West End shows and museums though.

I live quite a distance from London and I'm not willing to go that far just to get a picture with Taco.

Natrual history museum, science museum and V&A are all pretty great.
There is some really good food in some places (I can only recommend places in west london though). Also go to forbidden planet for a while.

Pfft, London. Too close to France. It's tainted, unclean. Come to the North! Anywhere really but anywhere that isn't Manchester is a pale imitation of our greatness and unlike our aforementioned southern "Diet France" cousins we in the North actually practice politeness and good manners. Even our muggers smile and call you mate

Just don't go to Liverpool straight after Manchester (or vice versa). The citizens will smell it on you and go feral.
