I'm interested to know what calms my fellow Escapists down?
I get the feeling games may be the main answer however for me it's normally games that cause me great amounts of anger and my controller to fly across the room.

I'll go first.
Today the speedo, rev counter etc, all the dials basically, went on my car for the second time in a few months making me incredibly angry and wanting to torch a Ford garage. However I stuck a bit of music on, ranted a little bit and roamed the Escapist and I'm feeling a little calmer.

Music. As long as it maintains a constant flow I can relax to it.

Also, Dead Space mellows me out.

Either having friends around who can help me shake off whatever's pissed me off, or taking it out on someone, music helps sometimes too.

Any video game where I can kill stuff with either guns or fire calms me down. Or target shooting in real life (NOT at people!)

Short answer: music.

Music always makes me calm down. It doesn't really matter what kind of music or anything, as long as I like it. Games doesn't work for me either, maybe some games, but most of them just make me either frustrated or childishly excited.

Same. If I play a game annoyed it makes me play awful so I get even more annoyed.

Punching a few holes in my wall. The problem is, I have to hide them from my mom.

I'd buy a PS3 just for Little Big Planet if I had the money, it looks amazing and btw I love your name :p Not because I stomp on kittens it just reminded me of a sketch I saw on TV where two people invented a device for stomping kittens.

I just go off somewhere and be on my own for a while. That usually calms me down. Failing that, I'll read a book, or listen to some indie folk. A bit of Iron & Wine usually does the trick :).

Thank you (yeah, surprisingly I don't actually stomp on kittens..it's an inside joke and I bet you could guess what it was about). I have a PS3 but I don't have LBP, i've seen alot of gameplay and it looks pretty cool. I wish I had a weasal in my pocket. :(

Depends where i am. If i'm outside i internalise it and seethe.
If it's downstairs i punch walls and growl.
And if its my room i'll try and lift weights and exercise it off

I get angry at games after awhile. There's only so many times I can laugh and joke it off after being sniped for the 17 hyperballilionth in Battlefield 2142.

Music calms me down, so does coming on here or having a smoke.

Reading usually helps me out.
Of course it's really hard to do that because people can't fucking understand that when I'm angry, I no longer possess the want to talk, which means their constant asking of what's wrong only serves to make me even angrier, and they respond with anger of their own when I tell them to leave me the fuck alone.
