OT: Looking at old posts is actually kind of refreshing. Back in 2010 everyone was just bitching about the whole hardcore vs casual gamer divide. No doxxing or swatting; just good ol' fashioned elitism!

Damn, I never thought I'd say this, but that sound downright utopic after the total shitshow that the past 6 months have been. *tears up* Those were the good old days. When our worst enemy was Jack Thompson, and when inter-gamer conflict was just a dick-measuring contest, rather than actually calling each other terrible human beings on a moral level.

As for digging up an old post...eh, I'm both too lazy and too scared of staring into a deep and dark abyss from which I'll never recover. I honestly don't particularly care what 16-year-old me though anyway.

I don't have a problem with girly anime as in if I hate it for some reason, it's more of I can't get into watching it that is the problem.
I have watched Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor in the past although I have watched a few episode of Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and the Lucky Stars OVA but I can't be bother to watch the rest of it. I think its the gene slice of life that find it hard to keep my attention to (I'm into shonen, mecha and action).
I admit however I have been interested by this recent show called Shinryaku! Ika Musume (squid girl). I found the main girl of the show adoreable.
Not sure if it consider to be a girly anime but the Tenchi series is one of my favorite (Tenchi Muyo) anime. Oh also if that other show Strike Witches is consider to be girly anime then I do have a problem with that anime (for obvious reason).

Well it look like I had made a little progress as Shirokuma Cafe is now one of my favourite since I consider it to be slice of life anime (well except for the talking animals but the setting is definitely slice of life!). Sure that squid girl is still adorable but she can't be Chakai! Too bad I did go by my word to actually watched that anime thought...

My biggest hates are in fact nationalism and 'patriotism'... We cause so many problems because we let countries get away with things that people would not.

You can't go and beat up your neighbour because he annoys you... Or you want his property... And yet, that's the kind of behaviour we get from countries.
Think about a country as if they were a person, and suddenly you realise the 'personality' of most countries is not pleasant.
And it really doesn't matter which country you're talking about here. America is just an easy target because it gets involved in everything somehow...

That's me as well. Although when looking through the posting history, about a good 400+ pages were nothing but Forum Games. Then 2014 hit and suddenly I stopped. Maybe that's what we all need, more time in Forum Games!

This post from a thread about cartoons nobody else has seen actually isn't far off at all. I still think Skyland was awesome (in fact, I think I posted about it in another similar thread pretty recently), still haven't met anyone who's seen it, and still use edits all the time in my posts to add more stuff. I'm actually pleasantly surprised, I didn't find anything terribly stupid. I do wish I remembered where I found the Skyland episodes though, that would be nice.

It's all about time travel and psychological stuff. It's really confusing, but as long as you pay close attention to every character and detail, you can make it through.

From a thread about people's favorite obscure movies, we can see that 14-year-old me was very enthusiastically impressed by Donny Darko. It was good and all, but come on now past self, you can tone it down a little there. I also type differently now, looking back it's funny how obvious it is that I was younger when I wrote that post (and I didn't know how to italicize titles). And for the record, my favorite obscure movie is now The Sky Crawlers.

If someone game up to me and said graphics don't matter I would smack them. A good example for me would be The Elder Scrolls Morrowind. It was a great game, but the crappy graphics made me not want to play it.

I personally thought Dragon Age 2 was a large improvement form origins. The conversations didn't go on for 2 hour in Dragon Age 2 like in origins. It felt smooth and flowing like Mass Effect's coverstations.

I've read a few others, but they're just horrifying. The first one has changed because I realized people could share opinions other than my own and smacking them was not appropriate. My first warning here was due to me saying "That statement makes me want to punch you in the face." For someone saying Fallout: New Vegas was better than 3. And Origins is vastly superior in everything from Dragon Age 2... and I like Dragon Age 2. I also seemed unaware you could right-click to spell check.
