To all the Escapists who, like me, are saying goodbye to a great man today. Christopher Hitchens will always hold a place of honor in my mind. Thank you, Hitch.

I don't know much about his endorsement of the death of his fellow primates. He did support the Iraq war in so much as it destabilized the dictatorship that had a death grip on the people. Putting disputes aside, this is not the time or the place, he was a great writer, orator, and freethinker.

Um... 'Kay. You do that. Never read anything of his, but, judging from some passages on Wikipedia, I would have probably not liked being insulted. Still, always a bit sad when someone famous dies.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to discuss the merits of the things an orator said in determining his standing.
