1) Sega

2) Cease the inception of crap like Sonic Boom, reinstate Sonic 4 and begin production of Episode 3.
Release a new Shenmue because apparently people want that (not a fan personally but whatever).
Release Border Break to Vita or a major console (preferably not Wii U although the game pad would make it work pretty well)
Review QA policy and with the aim of more time and manpower being put in to avoid releasing a glitchy mess.

I'd take over Atlus, and commit them to a simultaneous PC release of every new game as well as retrospective PC releases of all their back catalogue.

Square-Enix

1)Approach Mistwalker. "We're so sorry for thinking that we could make a great Final Fantasy game without you Sakaguchi. Here's complete creative control."

2)Reform Project Dream and start development on Chrono Break.

Company: Square-Enix

Changes:
1) Contact Monolith, beg for forgiveness, make remake of Xenogears with the Second Disc done as an actual part of the game instead of a long, non-interactive text dump.
* 1a) Also, remake the Xenosaga series as the 6-parter originally described in Perfect Works.
2) Hire private investigators to track down the members of Quintet and get them making games again.
3) Parcel out a division for the Hitman games, Thief, and other formerly Eidos properties so that these are no longer referred to as "Square Enix Games."
4) Get the Dream Team of Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yuuji Horii, Akira Toriyama and Yasunori Mitsuda to make either a direct sequel to Chrono Trigger, or a game heavily inspired thereby.
5) Find the old source code for the original version of Secret of Mana (the one intended to be produced on the SNES CD-ROM). Remake it, enhance it and bring it to full HD Glory.

Konami!

I would make them remake Silent Hill 1-4 in the same way as Halo Anniversary, everything the same but a total graphical re-haul with new, next gen assets and it would be released in a pack with Downpour, Homecoming and Origins. I'd have them port Shattered Dreams to the playstation to be played with the Move. I'd have Vatra Games make a Downpour 2 (yup, no shame, I adored Silent Hill Downpour) and Double Helix make Homecoming 2.

And of course I'd have Silent Hills put back on track, but also it'd just be Silent Hill X because I think Silent Hills is a silly name.

Then we'd make more Silent Hill games, with several spin off series and guest writers, I'd rename the company Silent Hill, I'd relocate it to on top of a quiet hill...

Silent Hill... James Sunderland... Pyramid Head...

Would we really need a Downpour 2? I mean, if you got the not-best-but-it's-totally-the-best-ending ending, and we could end up in Anne's Silent Hill that way and explore her character some more, but other wise I think the story was finished.

And where could you go from Homecoming? It was just Silent Hill 2 but with a little boy instead of a woman.

OT: I'd take over Epic Games. Declare Gears of War 3 non-canon, and make them deliver an apology for putting out such a bullshit ending. Then make Gears of War 4 with the fluidity of Judgment's levels and make a game mode out of Judgment's more bloodthirsty ways, and the old weapon system of the first three games. Make infinite amounts of profit, and give a conclusion which is literally anything other than Gears of War 3's conclusion and I'm solid.

Valve.

1) Institute a Steam refund policy that doesn't look like ass.

2) Release a pricing model that forces developers and publishers to drop their prices to something reasonable.

3) Destroy Greenlight, the experiment failed.

4) Give Early Access devs an ultimatum, go hard or go home, release the full product within a reasonable time or fuck off.

5) Cleanse Steam of stupid "non-games" like "Don't Press Anything" or "Goat Simulator" that do nothing but clutter the Steam page store.

6) Renegotiate the split between Valves and Devs on Steam sales to match GoG's more equitable split.

7) You know that thing where people who want to work for valve get to choose where they work? That's real fuckin' neato and all but the problem is that nobody wants to work in customer service. I've worked in customer service before it's living hell, I know. But someone has to do it. Unfortunately I'd have to get rid of that policy, purely to get asses in seats over at Steam Support.

8) Slowly institute a "No DRM policy", it's impossible for a game to be "uncrackable" DRM serves literally nobody, there will always be a pirate out there who'll be able to pull of some computer wizardry and get an illegal copy running. DRM does nothing but drive willing and happy consumers into the arms of piracy and give pirates an excuse to keep stealing shit.

9) Tinker with that paid mods idea. Hear me out. Rather than forcing a person to pay to get a mod, what if we throw an optional donate button to the side to the authors private paypal?

Games Workshop

1 Sack the Warhammer 40,000 team and head back towards the 3rd edition when the rules were more logical and complete.
2 Make some new Warhammer games like the old Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen.
3 Rework Chaos Gate so it actually works on modern machines.
4 Lower the price of goods so that the company can actually compete with it's competition.
