It does say "to the fullest extent of the law." If it were serious, that extent would be "not at all".
Touché.

Though, since this is supposed to be a fundamentalist Christian petition, maybe the charge is "fun."

I know that, I just can't rule out the possibility that they could cause somebody else to be hurt in a very real way, certainly not in a prosecutable way, but still, a real way. And that freaking terrifies and enrages me at the same time. But you're right, It's just a troll, I should probably just relax.
I can't see that happening here. In other cases, I'd be with you, but here? I'm not sure how this is going to lead there. Potentially or otherwise.
Like I said, I should probably relax. I am definitely overreacting here, but considering that one of the other headlines from christwire involved Mexicans poisoning our water or something, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that some of their other ones could hurt people. You're right though, the only thing this one can do is further misinform people, and I guess that this one isn't especially evil. I should really learn to pick my battles.

Of course we need to get rid of skyrim. It's causing our children to become corrupt and twisted.

Who needs rebellious children that support the Nords? I had to beat my two year old son with a electric mace because he tried to draw talos. Is this what you want your children to become people? Heretics?

I'm signing this petition.

People can be gullible. Look at how many people on this very page believed this was a "real" petition (yes it is technically real, but I think you know what I mean)\
Have you looked at some of the other petitions on there? the ones that are ostensibly real?

It's not gullibility to buy that this could be a real petition because people are legitimately petitioning for stupid things. Not just on whitehouse.gov, either. It's not gullibility, the bar is really that low. One of the only petitions to make it to the requisite signatures was one asking the Government to come clean about aliens.

...Like our masters would allow that....Oh no, i've said too much.
Shhh... you can't let them know that you've heard the secret, they might ship you off to the gulags on space Siberia.

OT- I guess that's just poe's law at work. I still tend to presume things are fake when push comes to shove. Guess I'm a bit of an optimist. The alien thing doesn't surprise me though. That one is probably real, not just "real." Really disturbs me how many people really do believe in the alien pseudo-science stuff. But I digress. Guess this isn't really OT anymore at all, is it?

Good think they can't ban video games: it's already been declared unconstitutional to do so.

"4) To create a national database of videogame avatars and "screen names" so that teenagers can be better monitored."

What kind of self respecting Republican would want Big Goverment in their Vidja?

I think you two need to read the names of the people who've 'signed' the petition.

That has got to be the absolute stupidest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. I'm...I'm just at a loss for words! I would just love to ask these people: "Why?" just why. They don't even specify anything! Ugh!

As much as I like a few "lulz," I can't see this kind of article doing any good. I probably can't say much more without sparking a religious debate, but I think I'll just reinforce what's been posted before:
