Tales of Xillia question

I'm about to start a game and I have two character choices. I was wondering how much difference there is between the two characters stories (No spoilers) and who I should start with first.

There's not a huge amount of difference. There are sections in the game where the party split, so you will see a few different areas depending on the character you choose. Personally, I'd start with Jude, as his path explains the game a little better than Mila's does.

Ok, thanks Eupho. I'd actually gone ahead and started with him anyway but its nice to know I made the better choice.

Another quick on for those who've played, in the other Tales games their has been a status menu so you can check out all your characters stats. I can't seem to find it, isn't there one or am I just not looking in the right place?

To look at the status menu when you open the main menu hit right on the D-pad and click X to look at statuses you can also change party formation and the party leader

It's been a while since I played so I could be wrong, but I think you see all the stats once you can access the Lillium Orb level up screen.

Yea [user]The Eupho Guy[/user] basically covered it. The general consensus is to go with Jude on the first run and if you elect for a second playthrough go with Milla. The differences are apparently not that significant though (I've only done it as Jude). Which character you choose does affect who you can play as during certain sections and since I always played Jude (enjoyed him the most) I'm glad I chose him.

Personally, I started with Milla, and preferred her story over Jude's. Everybody I've ever talked to about ToX started with Jude though.

I don't think I'd love the game as much as I do if I didn't do Milla's story, but Jude's story is somewhat more relatable for most people.

Excellent, that worked fine. My fault for not looking carefully, the last couple I played had a Status tab on the menu, thanks mate

Ok, onto Xillia 2 now. Look, Ive read that there are multiple endings to this, is it every single choice I make that is going to add up to the ending I get or is it only certain key decisions?
