What I'm interested in knowing is A. where you're from and B. what accents do people there (yourself included) find to be sexy or appealing?

I'm a guy from the Washington State in the grand old US of A and I've found that a lot of the women I know melt at the sound of an Australian accent or a Kiwi accent, though I doubt they notice the difference.

And I know that a woman with a very light french accent in her speaking is enough to pretty much melt any free will that I have.

So what about you? Where are you from and what accents do you find attractive?

Well considering that I too am from the great state of Washington and the fact that we lack any discernible accent just about any accent seems sexy to me with the exception of east coast and really heavy eastern European.

I'm originally from New York, and I find girls with southern accents (ya know, "southern belles" as they're sometimes called) to be hot.

But yes, like you I know women who find Australian accents sexy. My NY accent works on some as well.

Good God - the Kiwi accent is considered sexy??? That's news to me - I try my hardest not to have a strong kiwi accent! But then if it's only sexy on guys I suppose that's different. I certainly (figuratively) run a mile from a strong kiwi/aussie accent!

As for what appeals to me, I love languages, so I find many accents interesting, although I will confess to a soft spot for both Scottish accents and a nice Inigo Montoya/Antonio Banderas Spanish lilt. I mean come on, whose knees didn't go weak to the sound of 'My name is Inigo Montoya. You kill' my fatherr. Prrepare to dai''.

I live in WA state but I was raised in Nevada.

I like British accents, but not the London accent, because I can't disassociate it from American actors pretending to be from the UK. I also like the Jamaican. My LEAST avorite accents are American Southern & German.

I'm from the lovely state of California, but I've lived in loads of different places, thus picking up a bit of their accents.

I'm not sure what accents most people where I'm from, or where I live find sexy, but I personally find Australian accents attractive. I'm not sure why, they just sound so nice...

I'm in Canada right now, and I mostly find any combination of Ukrainian, Mediterranean, French, or German accents to be the most sexy/appealing to me. When Leliana's accent gets through in DA:O, it just turns me right on.

I'm from Brisbane....East coast Australia... I don't know what my accent is, it's not country yokel Australian. I don't say "aah g'day brucie, how bout them didgeridoos and kangaroos and wallaroos and jabirus and kakadus then eh?"

It's sortof...I don't know. Normal-person Australian I guess.

As for what I find attractive, It's very gender specific. For a sexy girl's accent...I don't really know, I like Australian girls I guess... awesome accents for blokes include Russian, Irish and Spanish.

I am from Oregon, grew up in Portland, so I was pretty close to Washington.

I don't know what everyone thinks is a sexy accent, probably australian accents I bet.

I don't have any major preferences but accents interest me a lot. My last girlfriend was an American studying over here in Britain, whose soft Connecticut accent I found very pretty. Another girl I saw briefly liked me to put on an Irish accent when I talked dirty to her. Both my grandfathers are from Dublin so I can do quite a decent impersonation of that region.

I'm Australian. I don't know. I like a lot of accents. But I'm not sure if I've found any especially sexy. I think it's less the accent that's sexy and more the voice that's saying it.

A somewhat proper English accent never seems to go astray though. Or maybe it's just that a lot of sexy British people seem to have that specific accent. Who knows?

Americans seem surprised whenever I tell them that I find their accents sexy. I don't know enough about American states and regions to be able distinguish between different accents distinctly, but a nice Southern accent usually makes me giggle and blush a little.
