I'm from California, and the German and British accents are what get the ladies wild. As for me I like the southern. Not sure why.

I live in the wasteland of northern Nevada where my Boston accent sets me apart, and against all common sense women find it sexy.

I'm originally from New York, and I find girls with southern accents (ya know, "southern belles" as they're sometimes called) to be hot.

But yes, like you I know women who find Australian accents sexy. My NY accent works on some as well. :)
I'm from australia, hook me up ;).

I actually find anyone with an accent that isn't australian an extreme turn off. Especially, ESPECIALLY kiwi accents.

My best friend is New Zealander, but if he was a she, she would be out of my books.

I'm from the Netherlands. I have this thing for girls speaking English with a heavy Czech accent. When it comes to the Dutch language however, I find pretty much all accents (both regional and foreign) quite annoying. Dutch sounds weird enough as it is, no need to throw another flavour in the mix.

I'm from Vancouver, BC. I don't find any accents particularly attractive, although I do find certain accents unattractive, as horrible as that may sound. I'm most likely to be attracted to someone who speaks clearly and articulates their words. It's a sign of intelligence, and intelligence is sexy.

I also live in Washington, (West coast represent) and I happen to find Russian accents the most appealing.

Austrailian, although I know no Aussie women, I find it somewhat attractive. That and British proper british, not tv or the 1700 commoner "'ello Govnah" british XD.

Can't stand southern accents....especially the word I can't think of, but it's a mash up of two words that should never be combined. It dreove me so crazy when I worked for a call center that I must have removed the word from my head. Good thing too (though it was fun hanging up on three hundred of them over two days XD)

Cork, Ireland.

Personally, it's a toss-up between clear-spoken english and french. The english one probably wins out due to the fact that everyone chooses french.
Plus, I probably wouldn't understand what she was saying half the time.
"Ah waunt to make beautiful love to y--" "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SAYING"

As for the rest of my area, I'm not really sure, to be honest. If I know Cork people, probably only their own. Which I guess sucks for them, because most girls do this bullshit where they try to imitate an english chav accent.
It ends up as this horribly garbled Cork city/chav-as-fuck mess that is comparable to the sound of a mutant freak cat having its arse shaved off by a cheese grater.
Seriously. I am not sure why they do it. It's like the duckface phenomenon, nobody knows what the hell is going on through their heads.

Well considering that I too am from the great state of Washington and the fact that we lack any discernible accent just about any accent seems sexy to me with the exception of east coast and really heavy eastern European.
<youtube=KH_kOjsXakM>

theres a good collection of accents from our lovely little isles and im going to guarantee that a fair amount of them won't sound sexy to you, dont generalise.

OT i try to lower my voice make it deep . seems to work ^^
Well for one thing that's a dude in that video and I'm not into guys so that doesn't really get me going anyway, and for another thing I was just making a blanket generalization because I'm not very familiar with all the different accents of all areas I know some but not all. Sure if you lined up a lady for each accent that you guys have over there and had them all talk to me I would find some more appealing than others but I don't exactly have that luxury now do I.

I seriously have no such luck. Cept once where I was considered posh, but she was a whore so never mind.

I did meet a French girl once. At a party. Where she was horny as fuck. Where she got off with pretty much everyone.

Lets just say her voice worked very well.

Australian accents? Sexy? Oh boy, this is good news.
Although the last time I went to Northern America/Canada I was asked by a girl if Australia had paved roads...

OP: I'm not sure, maybe French? Anything but English, I don't mind the country, and I think that the accent is cool, I just wouldn't like my girlfriend to have it...

No, don't actually do it...

What I'm interested in knowing is A. where you're from and B. what accents do people there (yourself included) find to be sexy or appealing?

I'm a guy from the Washington State in the grand old US of A and I've found that a lot of the women I know melt at the sound of an Australian accent or a Kiwi accent, though I doubt they notice the difference.

And I know that a woman with a very light french accent in her speaking is enough to pretty much melt any free will that I have.

So what about you? Where are you from and what accents do you find attractive?
Would a Korean/Kiwi accent work?

I have a Korean/Kiwi accent and I have no idea what people around here find sexy in accents.

I'm from NZ, and am very intrigued by this information ;)

Seriously though, for me probably French or English - not cockney English though, more classy

Nothings sexier on a woman than muffled screams and faint sobbing.

*cough*

Nah, Irish or Scottish accent on a redhead is just win. I'm northern-English.

I gotta say, as an Aussie, I've come to find accents from Europe (especially Russia), Japan and India incredibly sexy. For what reason I have no idea, just do.

On the other hand, when I played with an American guild on WoW, a lot of the girls there thought my accent was charming.

Wow, I had no idea so many people on here were from the Pacific Northwest. How about that crazy weather lately? 3 days and not a drop of rain, and we're in October even.

Anyways, thanks everyone for the information, it's really been interesting to read all your posts and learn all this. Especially that a Korean/Kiwi accent even exists...

But yeah, please keep posting.

And I have to ask another question, for those of you saying that you like the American accent, how would you describe it? It's the classic case of having an accent and not knowing it.

I would prefer any accent as long as it isn't heavy. As long as it's discernible, but not so strong that I can't understand what is being said, I like it.
