I don't believe I have ever done it, but I have been woken up by July girlfriend doing it. It is always weird. She will be having a conversation, but without real words. Like there is intent and tone changes as she is mumbling along in her sleep. It is always hilarious.

Have you ever had any experiences with someone that talks in their sleep?

I used to date this cute foreign exchange girl from Kazakhstan and she would say weird stuff in her sleep, alternating between English, Russian, and Kazakh. I don't know if I do this, but I found myself sleepwalking one night, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I know I sleep walked into the bathroom to pee all over the floor once.

Talking on the other hand? I blame mother.

There was the time my dad was talking in his sleep about a war despite the fact that he was never in armed service.

Don't think I've ever done it, but I know someone that has some impressive sleep-mumbling.

Apparently she sometimes sleepwalks as well, and has wandered into the backgarden naked while asleep or something. And she reckons her and her ex-husband have started havign sex, both while asleep.

How much of this to believe, I'm not sure, though there are precedents for that sorta thing...a woman sleepwalked off the Sydney Harbour Bridge a few years back.

My brother used to open his eyes and talk in his sleep, so one night i went to close his bedroom door. And what i see when i walk up to his door is him sitting up in bed with his eyes open, so i thought he was awake for a second. That's when he sleep yells "LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU" and out of fear of the axe murderer behind me i dropped, when i looked back up he was slumped over dead asleep. He scared the bejeezuz out of me.

I used to talk in my sleep all the time, but that stopped a while ago, don't remember when.

Nah I just drool a lot. Now that I think about it I would prefer sleep talking.

I remember my brother would have those conversations without any real words though, that is funny to listen to. (But kind of scary too.)

I tend to talk or mumble in my sleep and it can get pretty hilarious sometimes. I remember one time: I had just finished Battlefield 3's campaign and gone to sleep. My mom came in to wake me up for school and I remember asking "What happened in Paris?"

I once had a full, completely normal and logical conversation with my roommate while dead asleep. Other than that I don't usually talk in my sleep.

I mumble in my sleep.

Also, if you partially wake me, you can converse with me, but I won't remember it. Even knowing this, my mom used to wake me up early to ask me to do something and get pissed when I didn't do it, like I was ever going to remember.

Just be thankful you don't do both. In the wrong position, you could drown.

I don't think I talk in my sleep, but I recently woke myself up. I remember dreaming that I was talking on the phone and people behind me were being purposefully disruptive. I covered my ear and started talking louder, so they all got louder just to piss me off. I don't remember what the call was about, but it was important. Then I shouted "GUYS!!!" in real life and woke myself up. Its one of those situations where you're glad it was just a dream, because I was about ready to start cracking skulls.

Another time a long time ago, I don't remember what I was dreaming about but I said "What?" which woke up the person laying next to me, who responded "What?" This woke me up prompting me to say "What?" It was like an Abbot and Costello sketch.

I've only talked in my sleep once. In grade 9, I was on this sailing trip for our school, and there were mandatory night shifts everyone had to do. They would rotate 2 people every hour. When it was my turn at about 3 in the morning and the people from the last shift were trying to wake me up, I leaned up in bed, (still asleep) and said "NO! IT'S YOUR TURN TO DO NIGHT WATCH!" and slammed back into my bed. They tried a few more times and i always said "NO!" whenever they told me to get up. When they finally got me awake I didn't remember saying anything. Everyone was pissed at me and I didn't know why.

I never talked in my sleep, but I have been told I have wandering hands in my sleep, plus I have woken up to find I was masterbating in my sleep
