I have the AC/DC Rock n Roll train tattooed on my chest as if it is bursting out of me. I used to have my nipple pierced but it got ripped out :(

In my honest opinion tattoos and piercings almost always just make men look like pricks and women creepy or overly butch.
That said, if you want one, go right ahead. Not going to stop you. (Unless you're my unborn child, in which case NO.)
Same for me, I dislike tattoos a lot but I'm not going to stop being friends of someone who has one, but I wouldn't date a girl who has one. If I have to get one, it'd only by on my shoulder and it would by my future plane and callsign for when I go to the Air Force Academy and become a pilot. Nothing else. And no future child of mine will, except to carry on the tradition of the military shoulder unit patch at most.

But no piercings for me, ever. They look ugly to me and hurt. I'd only date a girl who has ear piercings, nothing else. ESPECIALLY genital piercings. Oh man... no... >.<

lol, tbh I can't remember it. I went out one night to a friends party, had lots of jagerbombs and woke up about 13 hours later with my chest covered in blood.

Luckly, I haven't ripped anything out yet on a binge. Babes, that still sounds sooooo painful!

I'd like a tattoo, but what am I supposed to do when I get tired of it? Laser surgery is expensive as hell, and never totally removes the mark. I might get my ear pierced twice, but again, depends if I can get myself to do it.

I've got a square [one centimetre to a side, black lines] near my elbow. I always told myself that if I ever ended up getting a tattoo, it'd be something devoid of symbolism or personal meaning, because opinions and outlooks change over the course of one's life. When the chance presented itself, I opted for the square. I like it's simplicity and abstraction, I guess.
I just hope I haven't inadvertently joined a secret society or something.

I won't be getting any more, though. I still don't see the point in getting inked. As for piercings, their very thought nauseates me.

Haha, just be wary of those people in the street trying to steal you stuff and recruit people into strange cults. :p

But I like the sound of your tattoo, it's simple and pleasing (if that makes sense?)

I've got one on my back, which I figure is pretty safe, in case I ever ended up working a job that wouldn't take people with visible ones. It's also handy in Japan, as they won't let you do a bunch of stuff if you have tats.

Anyway, I love it but I worry about how it'll age. I figure at the 5 or 10 year mark I'll try to find a good artist to get it re-inked to keep it crisp. If I can maintain it's quality then all I have to worry about is when the wrinkles set in....

lol, I suppose it could be worse. I was on a binge once and managed to walk home with a broken leg. I remember that...

I don't think I could ever get a tattoo. I lack the commitment and the confidence that I could like it for the rest of my life.

Nor could I ever get a piercing. Piercings look quite unattractive to me, and also uncomfortable.

Ummmm. What he said. Seriously, I've said these exact same sentences before IRL. I know that whatever tattoo I get now, I would not like when I was older, then I'd regret it.

I also find piercings to be unattractive except for ears. Nose piercings look the worst in my opinion.

XD Aren't you a trooper? God, you seem like the kind of guy to get into a whole gost of nasty situations. At least things aren't boring :) Just be careful.

Not that I can talk (mind you. I've never broken anything. Touch wood.) I'm clumsy sober and an accident waiting to happen drunk.

My best friend has two tattoos. She got them when she was in her late teens/early twenties. She is now forty. Guess if she was happy with her choice when she outgrew teen rebellion and came back to the fold of her church.

Tattoos are not the trash stigma they used to be, but not having them can never be as damaging as having them.

I agree, the stigma is slowly diminishing. I don't think it really matters. If you don't want them don't get them and if you do, go ahead.

I have 2 tattoos and 4 piercings =D I have a feather spanning across my left shoulder and a naked lady on my side ;D I've got my left nipple pierced, my nose and both of my ears. I had more but I always forget to take care of them and they end up falling out haha

Tattoos and piercings are a massive turn on for me. Unless it's an ugly tattoo.
