I think they can be either hot or repulsive. If it's a really big full body tattoo, it can be weird, but if it's a couple of small tattoos, that's perfectly fine to me.
I would actually prefer one or two big tattoos over a dozen of smaller ones.
What I meant was that as long as it's not those really big tattoos that cover your entire back, I'm cool with it.
I was referring to exactly those actually...

It's still red and bleeding a little, but I'm very happy with the results =D It also didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it was going to! I was bracing myself like NGGGGGGGGGGGGH but then it just felt a little bit annoying and I watched 2 episodes of American dad while she did it. Pretty sweet =D
Ooh, very nice!
I'm glad you ahd a good experience, too, tho...because of that, the addiction will form.
On a side-note: I've always liked the pain of a tattoo to that of a sunburn getting slapped. Tho, the underarm and along my elbow hurt a bit. >_o

Man, this thread and talking with my gf about a new one a few times recently have both made me really want to get another piece. ><

Meh, don't like your tattoo personally. But I like tattoos in general, as I have said somewhere in this thread

Sorry for the double post. But let me weigh in again

I think I'm going to get a full back tattoo, I don't know what it will be yet, but here are some tattoos that I like but will probably not be getting

But not colored

if done tastefully and correctly, tattoos on girls can be hot. No amy winehouses, though, which is just tacky.

I'm also female and also tattooed. Just one right now, but I'm getting my second soon. I personally think they're great. Mine happens to be my own design and very symbolic to me. I got it on my shoulder, so I can cover it for work, but display it with a racerback tank if I want to. A little bit of ink is always a good thing. :)

Yeah it's as simple as that. Since the population of the escapist is largely male, I've decided to ask for another perspective.

I'm getting my first tatt tomorrow ;D

Feel free to go sick.

HAha so I've got it done now. You shall have to ignore my face. I'm doing my 'focusing' face. Taking pictures is hard D=

That actually looks quite nice and tasteful. Normally I'm quite averse to tattoos on girls, but that does actually look quite attractive. I guess it's like piercings, if done well and tastefully then they can be quite attractive (for example, I'd never date a girl who has piercings all over the place and covers herself in studs, or any girl who has loads of tattoos, Amy Winehouse style). But yeah, that looks pretty good :)

And besides, watching American Dad is always a good thing, amiright?

Tattoos can look nice on girls. Many don't is the problem. Large ones on the back tend to look really nice when done well, as can small ones in the shoulder area. I'm a bit more passive about ones on other parts of the body though, they don't look bad, but those are the ones that come to mind with aging problems.

Looks nice, and at least you didn't get a tattoo cliche like a kanji for love or a tribal band or something like that.

Is your avatar a picture of you? If so, you look nothing like your avatar (That's a compliment in case you don't catch my meaning).

I've seen some awesome tattoos on some of the suicide girls, but I've probably seen more bad ones.

It's all about location, subject and the skill of the artist. Even big ones can look great in the right place. But you gotta have all those things to have a good tattoo. The same goes for guys too but I think women have to be a bit more careful about placement. It's too easy to ruin the female form, so if you do put one in the wrong place it'll usually look worse than the same tattoo on a guy.

I love tattoos on girls. I suppose it helps that I've got some big tattoos as well, but I've never had a problem with how someone wishes to express themselves with their own body.

There's just the usual word of caution about tattoos - they're about as close to permanent as you can get (laser removal costs a bomb and hurts a hell of a lot more than getting a tat) so consider the choice of design carefully ;)

Other than that, good luck with it! Once you've had one, it's awful hard not to get more!
as addicting as piercings. I have nine piercings in my right ear and two in my left. I need one more in the right ear and to finish my left ear and do my tongue and lip..... and my entire back with tats. soon as I can I'm going to scan my newest tat design that my piercer drew for me.
