I love them on anyone :)
I'm a girl and i have 4, and i plan on getting more.
There all memories of mine, just memories put onto my skin, of course i prefer them if they mean something but its all personal opinion isn't it :)
Good luck though!

For God's sake, how hard is it to just go, "*OP question* of/on/with the opposite sex"?
I mean, its not that offensive, but it does get on my nerves. And because it could be considered offensive. Such things do, actually, get under my skin. If someone said something like that to me in person, I'd give them a piece of my mind. That, or slap them.
I know no offense was intended, so I'm not mad at you, I'm just a little annoyed now.
I don't quite understand what you're getting angry at. Are you angry at my question and how it's based only on one gender? If so, there is a massive difference between tattoos on women and men. It is largely more accepted for a man to have a tattoo, but women can often be derogatised for having something similar. If a women does have a tattoo, it's expected to be a heart or a butterfly or something equally as shit. I was hoping to get a males persepective on whether a tattoo on a woman is significant to them, because as outspoken and bolshy as I am, I'm still a girl and my outlook is probably very different.

I'm getting my tattoo tomorrow regardless of what people on here say, I'm not looking for approval. I've wanted this tattoo for quite a few years now ;D

I find well done tattoos really attractive, sleeve tattoos and neck tattoos especially. I don't have any myself, and I probably won't ever get any (henna ftw!) but I love tattoos on both genders.

Yeah it's as simple as that. Since the population of the escapist is largely male, I've decided to ask for another perspective.

I'm getting my first tatt tomorrow ;D

Feel free to go sick.
Tattoos aren't my thing, but they can be cool, if they're plain and simple and not over the top. And to be honest, I've seen waaaaay more girls with tats then guys here in the US. In the lounge I hang out at in my college, almost every girl has a tattoo, I can only think of one guy in it that has one. And there's an even amount of girls and guys in the lounge.

So, OP, what kinda tattoo are you getting?

I don't see it as being an important part of what I thinks attractive on a women, that's pretty much all I have to say about it.

If I saw someone with a full body tattoo of something really, really weird, like, the Queen being decapitated by Nazi midgets riding motortanks (like a motorcycle and a tanks) I'd have my, how should I say, reservations...

Tats can be good, as long as it's not HUGE or too crazy. Something simple, and something close to your heart (symbolic I mean of course!) is always best. I know a girl who has a tat of two interlinking horse shoes with a simple date underneath. It was the day of her brothers death, and they both loved to ride their horses. Simple, and close to her heart (although actually located on her hip.

I tend to like any body mods a girl may have because it makes them stand out from the crowd. I can think of very few mods that I wouldn't like but most of them fall into the "sub-dermal implant" category.

It's like a hair style...except it never leaves without painful surgery.
There's another way to remove them. It involves injecting goat's milk directly into the tattoo which draws the ink from the skin.
Then it goes mouldy from the body heat, turns septic and bursts, draining all the ink out in pus.

Laser sound better now? :)

They can only look good on young girls, middle-aged women with tattoos look nasty. Well in my opinion anyways.

Tattoos are awesome as long as they have meaning.

I have 1 and 2 more on the way. I think they are hot on women.

I have 1 getting another soon, but all I can say is that I have the same rules for them on chicks as guys. Just dont get something retarded or something in a retarded place because it ISN'T coming off. My definition of a stupid tattoo: The Zune guy.

If done wrong (only seen rarely): too masculine, looks misplaced.

If done right (almost everyone i've seen) very nice looking, sometimes hot as well.

I don't want to get tatoos.. =\
My friend's dad told her that she could get grapes as tatoo so that when she gets old, they turn into raisens.
