I don't really like tattoos on men or women, but the only thing that is a deal breaker for me is a woman with a tramp stamp/ho brand.

Women need to realize that those pretty flowers and adorable butterflies are going to wilt and die a few decades down the road. Their grandchildren are going to point at grannies sagging faded weed. Not sexy! So just say no to tats.

*Shrugs*

It's an image, albeit a permanent one, etched somewhere onto the body. As long as it doesn't scare/revolt/attack me, I'm cool with it.

In fact, this goes for piercings, haircuts, or anything someone can choose ot do to their body. As long as itdoesn't cause me harm or distress, and it makes the person inquestion happy, they can have what they want

it all depends on where you get it. like im not a big fan of whole arm or leg tattoos on women. i prefer smaller ones like on the lower back. buts that's just one mans perspective. :p

I advise you to NOT get a tribal tramp-stamp or a tramp-stamp in general. Everyone I know who got one, (three people surprisingly,) have regretted it.

Depend on how it is used. This is something that can look good or bad depending on how it is used like any other thing.

Just like tattoos on guys--as long as it's not annoying, misspelled, ugly, or right there in your face blaring out things about how 'bad' you think you are--position and its depiction are key. There are tattoos that are extremely (I'll put emphasis on that adjective) attractive by sheer position--simple designs on the hip or shoulder are pretty damn cool, and a few other places are alright as well (side of the neck, arm, etc). Just don't go overboard with it. Simple is better.

A tattoo on a girl is fine by me, unless it breaks one of my rules of tattoos, such as "trying too hard". A simple tattoo can be very cool, one that is just desperately trying to be cool is not and will never be.

Usually, they just add something more to look at ;)
Yessss! I love love love simple tattoos! The one I'm getting is just plain black, simple lines. I think it'll look alright coz my skin is naturally very pale and the black should look nice =D
That tat sounds pretty cool--where are you getting it?

(as a guy I say0 - a small tattoo is fine, so long as its a nice image and well done (very subjective.......) - If I ever got one it would be in a place like my left shoulder, with an impotent meaning that would still matter to me when I'am all and frail. - but ya go ahead just not more than 1 say the size of a 50p coin.

Yeah it's as simple as that. Since the population of the escapist is largely male, I've decided to ask for another perspective.

I'm getting my first tatt tomorrow ;D
I say go for it if it makes you happy. But please don't be one of these people that gets some titchy tattoo that you need a microscope to see properly. EDIT: in otherwords, contrary to the poster above me.

Or ones where they're hidden so they can only be seen if you're half (or fully naked).

And please choose something original. No hearts, butterflies or chinese lettering.

Both men and women are guilty of all of this.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, and we want pictures :D

As long as it's small, I'm 100% fine. The classic dragon-that-covers-half-the body seems a little overboard - male or female. If it's in the right spot it might even be more sexy then clear skin.

Fine with it, as long as it isn't massive and out there. I plan on getting one later, but just a small one.

If it's elaborate or big, just make sure it isn't some stupid shit with bats and fire and skulls. It should have some meaning, so if you aren't a stripper, steer clear of the stereotypical tribal tramp stamp. In fact, stay away from tribals and barbed wire. They're more corny than a "mom" heart.
