I only have one tattoo but I plan on getting more. I want to get an exsphere from Tales of Symphonia on my leg, a Sonic ring (which I'm getting next) on my right arm, and something to represent Golden Sun (not sure what yet though). Those are the three of my favorite games, and I know time won't change that. I have great memories of all three and still enjoy playing them.

As for what I have:

That was right after I got it though, so it's a lot less red now.

I would get a tattoo on my arm that would say "Tattoos suck"

It'd be mighty hilarious

I wouldn't get a tattoo, purely because I don't think I have a message that is so overpowering that I want to mark it onto my skin. I have met people who have really strong opinions, and they tattoo symbols on themselves to voice those opinions. There was a physisist who tattooed the E8 symmertry group on her back to show her belief in a theory of particle physics.

However, I don't care for tattoos that people get purely for the sake of having a tattoo. I have met people with tattoos of tigers jumping out of their backs, purely for the look of it. And considering that I spent five years of my life in Newquay (a south-British surfing town) I saw a lot of tattoos just like that.

So if you feel strongly that getting the Molnija mark from the Vampire Academy series of books shows your love of that series, then go ahead. Besides, it will show how many Strigoi you killed (I have never read the series, I just learned this from a wiki dedicated to Vampire Academy).

By the way, how exactly are you like a wolf? Do you walk on all fours, hunt deer in packs, and mark your territory against trees? And, if that's the case, why?
I'll agree with you on the second point there. And no, I wouldn't get the molnija because I'm a deranged immersive fan of V.A. it's just because I like the books. A whole bunch of people get tattoos just because they enjoy certain things. And that's still a reason for getting it. And again no, I meant my personality is like a wolf not my physical habits. Meaning, I might look calm on the outside but it doesn't take much to get me to snap.

I don't have one, but if I did get one, I might go with a treble clef or a bar of music. I don't know, I keep changing my mind on what I want if I get one.

I want one but what stops me is my thing with needles, I'm not a big fan of them, but one day I might say 'fuck it' and get one.
It's a similar thing with me. My older brother has two tattoos but if I got one I'd probably get disowned. Plus I'm not a huge fan of the whole pain thing either.
That's very odd that you might get disowned if your brother already has one.

I'm not sure if it's the pain part of it, or it's the fact that it's a needle. I don't know why, but I think it might be the fact that it's a sharp pointy object that might puncture me if something wrong happens.
I was being a little over-dramatic about being disowned but I still sure as heck wouldn't be met with approval for it.

Oh I got what you meant, but I still think it's a little weird. I do get where you are coming from, the minute I turned 18 I wanted to get one, but I thought my dad would kill me if he found out about it, so I thought better of it.

Just because I'm that kind of person (a dickhead) I'd like to get a sarcastic/cynical/clever tattoo. Something along the lines of:

The self-fulfilling prophetic tattoo -"You will regret this"
The self-labeling tattoo- "TATTOO"
The referential tattoo - "My other tattoo is boring"
The time-traveling tattoo - "No, you're still an idiot"
The hopeful tattoo - "I hope you're clever now because you were so stupid when you got this done"
The truthful tattoo - "Everyone else was doing it"
The other tattoo - "It is"

By the way, I'm not having a dig at tattoos, I genuinely quite like the idea of this. I'm always told tattoos are permanent and represent something about you and there is nothing more permanent and representative about me than my ability to make myself (and pretty much no one else) laugh.

I have one tattoo on the back of my thigh as a remembrance of my trip to Russia. Its terrible I know, but I wanted something and I was fine with having this. I love the hell out of it.

My second planned tattoo is a biomech steampunk themed half sleeve, whenever I can get the cash for it that is.

I've got a bunch of tattoos but this is probably my favourite one

pitty its hidden behind my hair most of the time, I decided the black mage would be appropriate since the final fantasy series really pushed me into being the gamer nerd I am today.

Why, did you live in Newquay too?

Yes, I lived there whilst my parents managed a B&B. I used to like living in Newquay, as we were hardly ever farther than a mile from a beach, and the ice cream was great. However, my parents were sensible enough to keep me in after dark, as the town centre soon filled up with... interesting characters. However, most people who came to stay were nice enough people, and I have some really nice memories about living there. You should question me about it some time.
I've been one of those interesting characters!

Though I totally understand your point about the tattoos. Where there weren't tattoos there were tattoo shops. Daft.

I wouldn't mind getting the 3-link chain tattoo on my wrist from Bioshock, or Taskforce 141 insignia on my shoulder or something. I'm not really sure what kind of non-game tattoo I would get but if I were to get a tattoo, it would be on my right and left shoulder, right wrist, and left inner forearm. Now I just got to think of what tattoos I want to get >_>

while I would never get a tattoo I have added a second tattoo to the list of tattoos I would get, if I ever got one
this (the goron symbol)
and this (the Pioneer Plaque ((you know if I was abducted by aliens and traded around and they wanted to send me back, it'd probably help a bit))

When I get out to Fleet I plan to get my US Navy Anchor:

I know that the Navy will be a very large part of my life, and when I choose to leave the Navy I will always take the lessons and skills I learned with me wherever I go. I believe that this will be a tattoo that I could look at and be proud...

Depending on how things go in the military I'd think about getting my branch or unit insignia on my arm.
