Teacher suspended for blog post about students

I think she should be put on some sort of probation. On one hand, she was obviously stressed out and doesn't really need a sacking to add to that. On the other, disparaging comments towards coworkers isn't really acceptable.

Should she be sacked because she ranted online? Absolutely not.

Perhaps because she's a sub-par teacher? Possibly. Getting annoyed at questions from a student, as long as they are germane to the subject she's teacher, is unacceptable.

Yeah, I agree with this.

I think it was a bit unprofessional of her to do this in a place where anybody could view it even if she didn't name names. Getting fired over this does seem a bit much though. Guess she won't be doing that again.

Piss poor situational awareness on her part. Next time she has a blog, she'll have an alias instead of her actual.

However I don't think she should be punished as long as she didn't violate any terms of her contract OR use the actual names of the student(s).
