Now, watch this video with the L4D tanks theme playing in the background, trust me, you'll be amazed.

Anyway, I'm actually an admin on a server currently looking into a way of running this, should be interesting.

Why the hell would you pick a spy to fight him with? It?s the absolute worst possible choice. An army of engineers with level 3 turrets however would destroy him.
A backstab does 600% of the target's current health. It's ALWAYS a kill.

I tried this tonight. It's good fun - I think they need to tweak it a little more - hale (while a beast) rarely wins in a full server.

Damn it, ninja'd! I was planning to make this mod. I had it all worked out to: Saxton would do territory control against two other teams (the Saxton would be chosen based on leader board status). He would have 650 health, would regenerate health like the medic, be as fast as the scout, and could capture just as faster. He would be able to double jump, and (although he could only punch) his alt-fire would make him charge like the Demoman.

Aww, who am I kidding, I lack the modding skills to have ever made it. Still, I'm glad the idea did get made by someone.

Uhhhhh what happens if you try to taunt kill him, backstab him, or he falls off the map? Ok the last one's self-explanatory but taunt killing is supposed to do 500 damage so would it insta-kill? Oh yeah one last thing: What happens if you're playing in an all-crit server?! By the way he's gotten 5250 health! Stop calling him invicible he's not, he's like a Tank in Left 4 Dead--A monstrous killer.

What server is this so I can favorite it?
What he said. I must play this mod.

EDIT: Actually it lists the IP in the Youtube description. Though it's only one server, and something tells me it's going to be hard to find an empty slot.

If you watch the video, he does get backstabed while capping the point. He loses about 1000HP, but is still alive to turn around and kill the spy. I think it might make sense though why it wasn't 600% damage. If you look at the last part of the video where the filmer is playing Hale, he only had around 300-400 HP. He just continually gets more as he kills guys, but the global message says his health is constantly depleting. He still might take 600% damage, but his max current health isn't all of his health.

Funny me and a friend were talking about a similar thing just a month ago; it seems like a great thing and I hope this will turn into a real game mode soon.

I really need to try out this mod. If only I could stop being obsessed with Starcraft 2...

The only problem I see is that it is too one sided, The Saxton Hale player can kill in one or two hits, has an ungodly amount of health, and can jump to almost any part of the map. Seems like it would be less fun than it actually sounds...
That's where teamwork and luck comes in. Hence at the end the engineer being lucky enough to get his sentry gun to full weapons mode and having backup. But I can see two heavies with medic backups taking at least 3/4's of the Hale's health away if not all. With good snipers or scouts assisting could finish off the Hale player easily.
It seemed the spies and pyros were the weak links. Though I have to admit I liked one of the spy's hat choices. All of them.

Based on the rate at which the damage was being done, I don't think two heavy-medic combos would actually be able to stop him.

Pyros skilled with airblast, Level 3 Sentries, or anything else that can push him away reliably, however...

But you're not going to be able to backstab a target that moves faster than you, can jump really high and won't be fooled by a disguise as there are no other team members :/

Hermes Conrad got that Blu team running so efficiently! Now all the manual killing is done by a lone Australian man.
I am willing to jump on a grenade for you now for making that reference.

OT: Looks fun, sadly I'm a console user, so I can only watch from outside the store window and cry. In the end it seems the best way to stop him is to distract him with heavies and scouts while a group of engies build a trap.

That 'Team Critter' whatever thing it is, could prove usefull in actual TF2 battles. Why didn't Valve go with that on the Engie update?
