I'm willing to trade my entire backpack for an unusual engineer hat. A hospitalized cancer patient would be the recipient of the hat. He enjoys playing engineer and I would love to give him this welcome home gift. Serious offers only. Thanks.

I don't know if this is of any use to you, but I have two unopened crates at least one of which is series one. Now, I don't know which series crate even has a chance of dropping an unusual Engie hat, but you're welcome to open them and see. Well, if they're the right kind of crate and things.

That's the kind of story that makes me all happy inside, until I remember that most humans are complete ass hats and it's probably just a scam. Though I'd really like to believe it, and if it's true then I really hope he gets it for the poor guy.

I created an account on The Escapist forums to personally thank you all, especially RaveRaze. The original thread, created on the Steampowered User Forums, was done so by me in hopes of finding an Unusual Engineer Hat for a hospitalized cancer patient, but I was not alone in the search. Ttjones, a Team Fortress 2 player, offered to open Mann Co. Supply Crates for anyone who supplied them, returning the contents, with the exception of finding an Unusual Engineer Hat. Unfortunately, ttjones was unsuccessful, but Humangatang, a Steampowered User Forums member and Team Fortress 2 player, seen my thread and agreed to make the trade. Humangatang wanted nothing in return for the Unusual Engineer Hat, a noble gesture on his part. Aggressive Ooze, the hospitalized cancer patient, will receive the Unusual Engineer Hat whenever he returns home from an intensive care unit. He is currently in stable condition and will have access to a laptop in two-three days time. I apologize for not updating my thread on the Steampowered User Forums, but I reached a posting limit. Please keep Aggressive Ooze and his family in your prayers. I provided some links below:
