Team Fortress 2 vs. Modern Warfare 2

I havent played the multiplayer of COD6 but I think COD4,s is pretty much the same (Wich I do played) and if it is the same its pretty bad I continusly got cheap shots and the enemy,s my team mates and the background looked the same I prefer TF2 its allot more fun and every class is easily recognizable the only thing that bothers me is that there is no offline singleplayer the multiplayer types are allot more fun in TF2 COD4/6 only has free for all and TDM

I went to Game (I am in Britain) and you can buy them in 2100 bundles for 17.50 in shops. I got 8 quid for MW2, so used a gift card from my birthday too.

Basically what you're saying is Modern Warfare 2 sucks, and Team Fortress 2 is the best game ever.
So yes, there is extreme bias on your part.

While it's not in the main post, I have said multiple times that I do enjoy MW2. And yes, I've got some bias. I admitted that too. But as for the points I list, I'm merely saying what was said during that argument. The points in MW2's favor aren't so few/not terribly good ones because I set it up like that. It's because the person I was arguing with is not terribly bright. In fact, he's dumb, and therefore his arguments in MW2's favor are going to sound dumb, and because I post merely what he and I both said, no more and no less, it's going to look incredibly biased.

I spend more time playing MW2, but that's mostly because I'm awful at TF2, and OK-ish at MW2. Also because apparently my internet connection works fine for xbox live, but not for playing PC games online.
Both games are fun when you're winning though! TF2 gets some points for still being fun when you're losing.
But sometimes you want a 5-10 minute burst of fast-paced reflex shooting, and that's what MW2 is for - I basically play it to vent.

um MW1 takes a bit more skill (not worth mentioning MW2) i consider MW1 the superior game in every way to MW2.O.S.

Firstly, you're friends sounds like a douchebag, maybe you should hang out with him less.

Tell me you have something in common because Modern Warfare 2 and Team Fortress 2 are like polar opposites in approach, balance and even quality.

As to the quote I singled out: it's like a huge game of rock paper scissors, only times 3. The sniper is for dealing with engineers. The engineer is vital to prevent a mass of players rampaging unstopped across the map. And who has a problem with a sniper? Classes like the Heavy deal an incredible amount of damage especially with a medic that head on confrontations are usually unstoppable. You need backstabbing spies and head-shooting snipers for BALANCE! To kill them or force them to be more defensive, checking their back or saying in cover more though ideally working AS A TEAM!

See your friend seems to treat multiplayer like single player, that if he is on a rampage there is nothing that should ever be able to stop him. He doesn't seem to understand team-work, as in supporting another player for a team victory.

Class customisation =/= variety. It's not really customisation if you can only alternate between guns with differing accuracy and stopping power.

MW2, at least the developers aren't too lazy to update their PS3 version. It's hard for me to compare them because TF2 controls seem so inaccurate with me being so used to console fps.

I bought MW2 and i regret it. First of all, in MW2 your sentry gun is a piece of crap. It's so crappy that there is even a perk where you don't get hurt by it. In TF2, your sentry is the most awesome piece of technology evar. Second, TF2 has the most funniest jokes ever like, Sandvich and BONK! Third, I HATE MW2 CLASSES! They suck so much that they even let you make a class but to bad the class creation is so god damn tedious! The classes in TF2 has awesome weapons. Finally, TF2 has actual characters! MW2 is just like 'Your a Marine, go kill stuff!' So, TF2 is my favorite FPS of all time

Or, you know this may just be coming from me, he truely prefers Modern Warfare 2 to TF2? Its an opinion and you have your own. Shouldn't we...you know...respect it? I've heard stupider reasons for disliking a game (Heck, some of which are from me) and I myself don't find TF2 or MW2 that great in themselves either.

In my opinion, let them play what they enjoy, you save your breath that way.
