Team Fortress 2: Which class did you play as first? Was it your favorite?

Started as Pyro and Engie. Right now my favorites are Spy and Engie.

The spy. I'm getting reeeeeeal good at running towards someone, pirouetting at the last second and somehow managing to backstab them. Or using enemies soldiers to rocket jump at other enemies.

It was ages ago, but I think I first played as the Heavy. Just because he had a bigass gun.

First class i played was medic since i didn't trust my connection and i figured it would be easier to hit my teammates with heals then the enemies with bullets.
as for my favorite class it depends on team-mates and enemies
if there's good people on my team playing medic can be extremely fun as long as they know how to play as a team.
if the enemy team is not very good or spy aware playing spy can be really fun.
and if neither of those are true and we dont need a engi or demo i just play soldier.

First class I played as was Demoman, but now it's one of my least favourite. I've played 122 hours of TF2 and only about 8 hours as Demoman.

My favourite class is probably the Scout, Pyro or Spy, three classes I didn't really like at the start.

Solider/heavy generally on offense

Engi/Demoman generally on defense.

Nothing like 3rd leg defense of dustbowl getting a sentry in that little room above the fighting area getting 34 revenge crits nom nom nom

Spy was my first class, I still play it a lot and rather well, but only if the server calls for it. I hate it when a server has 4 spies and 3 snipers when you're supposed to push ze kart.

Other times I play what's needed, i don't mind being medic. Haven't played demoman much though.

My pre-game research before I bought the game was founded on the Spy class. I loved his character, I loved his playstyle, and I thought I could do it.

I was wrong.

I'm a passable Spy these days, but now I mostly play Pyro. I do enjoy burning things.

I don't know what was first, but pyro is one of my most-played classes. It might not be the most cunning and skillfull class, but it's better than playing the 5th sniper on the team.

I also play a lot of soldier and heavy, or medic if I'm feeling charitable.

EDIT: I've also played my good share of Demoman. That's /man/, not /knight/. And I have played a lot of engi and...


Well basically I just don't play sniper or spy. Real men fight their enemies face-to-face... or via an automated minigun turret...

The very first class i played was Pyro, when a friend of mine introduced me to the game and suggested playing as a Pyro. Later, when i got the game myself, i first started playing as a Solder. Good times were had.

On recomandation of a friend I first played Medic.

It's a fun class to play, but I main engi and spy.

Started with Sniper. Didn't like it. Felt noobish. Then I tried played with Heavy for a while. Too slow for my taste. I finally settled with Scout. I rarely touch any other classes. I enjoy the speed and jumping around. Also, nothing is better than killing a dude with a baseball.

Soldier. Absolutely. After that, Scout.

I don't really like playing as any of the other classes.

I started off playing Spy and did so almost exclusively for some time. After a while, I also started playing Sniper and am now doing that mostly. I don't particularly like running around in a close quarters death match, being more suited to stealth and sneakiness. I take my time, hiding above choke points and shooting from concealed locations.

although I do like to help win and since the f2p update most servers have 2 spies all the time, and I won't go spy if there's already 2, and mostly won't when there's 1

I never really care what the other people on my team are playing as, if I decide to play as a specific class I will do so. I never play on servers with class limits for this reason.

Started out with the Heavy and damn was I awesome. Once ended up with five others vs me, and I won. <3
I switched to Pyro after a while though. Felt that I was even better as one, but Heavy will always remain my favorite.

Started as a sniper but eventaly switched to an enginer after seeing the intresting traps people where setting up with there turrents.

Spy, then i went to being a Engie. which is kinda ironic when you think about it
