Started with Scout, and it's still the one I've got the most time on. Favorite is a tossup between that and medic, mainly because when I switch to medic, my team starts to win (I'm not a bad scout, but it's the whole "a good medic can turn the tide" thing.) It's not surprising how much I love Scout, though, since it was suggested to me before I got the game because of the other FPSs I described enjoying to a friend of mine[footnote]Arena shooters, and all their airborne goodness[/footnote]. Seems like the Soldier would be a good choice for people whose gateway shooter was Halo, come to think of it...

That was a long time ago, I think it was the pyro. I play the pyro often but its not my favorite, my favorite is the sniper, its just so easy to kill a heavy in 2 headshots

I first played as the fat, bald, dumb, bald, slow, bald russian dude on the box cover. Today i do regularly use other classes, but im easily at my most lethal when i play as the Heavy.

My first class was the Medic, of course. But with the terrible internet connection at my school, I had to make due and generally go with pyro or engie.
What can I say? Of all the weapons in the game, I'm the best shot with the flare gun. Its all about prediction and angling, so if you get a shot off based on when your game lags at that instance, its about as accurate as if you shot it with a bajillion frames per second and were hosting. (other than the flamethrower or minigun, of course :p )
And with the engie, if you build in the right spots, take care of your buildings and have some good support, you can still be a staple for a team.

First time I played I jumped on a server and choose the Heavy and then proceeded to get smack talked because I didn't know what to do and so I left TF2 for six months...

UNTIL! I saw the machinima called Ignus Solus
and that was when I knew my destiny was to become the Crazy Scottish Pyro that I am today!

First i went for the medic, I'm a helpful guy and i like supporting roles. Never quite did get the experience or the know-how when it came to soldier or demoman, and the heavy just made me a target for abuse. So when I'm not healing I'm building sentries and setting up teleporters for the hardened killers of the team.

Naturally my main enemy is the wretched spy, but I did fairly well against them (at least as a engineer) and many a ski masked scoundrel has found that this sheep has claws and knows how to spy check.

I actually started out on spy, found it to be hard but rewarding
that and the sniper, why would you just blow someone up when you could have the satisfaction of that perfect instakill
thats my logic anyway

I started off with heavy because he was a simple class to use and it allowed me to get familiar wit how the game operated. Then I moved over to medic because it let me follow other competent players around and learn their strategies. I didn't end up 'maining' either of them though. On defense, if we've got at least one other engineer to watch my back, I'll play engineer. Every time one of your teammates jumps from spawn to the front lines through one of your teleporters, you know you've done your team good. I used to play a lot of Pyro too, but it seems like people are a little smarter about spreading out now. I'm also partial to Demoman, because the only thing more satisfying then destroying 3 enemies with one stickybomb explosion is firing a random grenade into the battlefield as you turn around to grab some ammo and killing someone you weren't even aiming at.

As a newbie, pyro (back in 2007), because of connection problems.
Then I moved on to engie, since I love supporting classes and it's pretty easy to pick up the basics.
Next I played de demo, but once the Demo/Soldier update came along, I lost all appeal for it.
I found a pretty nice pub clan and proceeded to play as their soldier for a long long time (probably the class I played the most).
Now I don't even play anymore, mostly because of new connection problems I've been having, but also because of the insane amount of unlockables and griefing.

OFF TOPIC - TF2 VANILLA FTW! (except for airblast. I like airblast)

Edit: also add heavy after demo and scout after soldier (before my connection problems came back)

The first class I used was the Spy simply because the idea behind him sounded so cool.

After about 400 hours of TF2 my most played and favourite class is the Heavy. There is just something about how the Heavy plays that keeps bringing me back. My second favourite class is probably the Soldier, since I like using the shotgun and rocket-jumping everywhere.

I don't know, actually, but I DO know that the scout became a favourite pretty quickly. I mean, after learning how to actually avoid being killed, using his speed and jumpiness to my advantage, you can dominate most of the regular community, which is a really good feeling.

I used to hunt achievements when they were released for the classes one by one, so I mainly stuck to the newly updated ones, apart from practising for the updates to come.

Spy as I really enjoyed the challenge and excitement of it when you get those stabs
Lately I've been branching out a bit more, I do also quite enjoy medic

I started as Sniper, as that's what I liked and I felt satisfaction in popping off a good headshot.
But now I play everyone but sniper, for they can contribute to a massive push instead of standing 10 miles behind everyone else. My most played is heavy, but that's because no one else does and so I gotta get us pushing the kart.

As for my most favorite class... I don't know. The feel of being a massive kredit to team as engineer and medic are great, whilst pushing with soldiers, heavys and demomen being rewarding of their own accord, as pyros and scouts are viable for many sorts of opportunities, snipers are great for picking off dangerous targets whilst the spy can do the same but from up-close.
I guess I just love the style of the game itself, and play whichever class suits the situation (unless we've got them all covered, then I just chose an extra push or support) and have fun with it.
I play on Calculated Chaos servers, often late at night, so I get entertaining people. :D

Engineer. I've found that I always enjoy classes like that. I don't like classes that run in for the kill. I like ones that just work hard to try and make things easier on the other members. For me that meant building turrets by the briefcase.

In the same way that in Fat Princess I like to play as the Worker and focus more on upgrading the classes rather than going off on rescues.

Sniper. Point, wait, click. Very simple.

Not my favourite now though, the Pyro is just too much fun, running around and setting people on fire, what's not to love?

from the beginning it was pyro, I was so glad once they added the back burner to the game as it fully complemented how I played the pyro, also I rock as the pyro normally getting a very high ranking in my team and being able to beat pretty much any other pyro in a 1 on 1.

I think I started with either Soldier or Heavy, I can't remember which. However my favourite class is by far the Engineer! If you want to create a murderous choke point then nothing does the job better than a Level 3 Sentry or 2!
