Mistake: buying the 360 version.

It is basically a different game, and recieves next to no support due to Microsoft's policies regarding DLC.

Nobody mentioned the fact that the 360 version was promised the updates made to the PC as well and that the PS3 didn't even get a single update to solve some issues? Last I heard, it was going to update with all the class updates. But since this is valve, and I haven't seen a fleet of flying pigs...

off topic, I got tf2 for my laptop, but the mouse controls are sluggish, and feel very sloppy. I'm guessing it's my laptops lack of graphics, but I have the lowest settings possible, and it's still bad. Any advice, or should I just give up, and sart saving for a new one?

What do you mean "Whining American Children"?
What? So British Children don't wine? My ass.

Anyway, you bought the Xbox 360 version.
It sucks.

No, it really is the worst game of ALL TIME. Worse than every other game ever made in the history of the gaming industry.

I have the 360 to and i can safely say that it is infinetly better on the PC.
If you can, try giving it a whirl there.

It's so horrible I've clocked over 150 hours on it.
So bad I play it every other day.
It sucks so many balls I have almost all of the items.

You have the 360 version, PC is where its at - Valve updates, bug fixes, etc. ONLY the PC version because they're a PC-oriented company.

Yes, the Xbox versian is pretty much crap (same goes with the PS3's). The game was designed with Steam and PC in mind. Everything about the game on the PC is MUCH better then the Xbox. There are tons of maps, gametypes, strategies, taunts, new voice overs, and tons of mixing and matching with the unlockable weapons on the PC that simply isn't there with the 360. Everything moves much better. For example, the Medic can give 100% crits instead of boring old ubers. The Heavy can spin up much faster and heal himself with sandvichs. The Sniper can throw jars of pee as a weapon. The Engineer just got the ability to move his stuff around, build near instant building minisentries, and now can smash people to death with a guitar via taunt kill.

Does that sound like the worst game ever to you?

Come on mate. It's $10(US)
If you've heard the hype then you must have heard at least half of them mention PC version yeah?
No disrespect, we just urge you to go buy it off steam or just somewhere for the pc and join in on the fun.

Wow. Just... wow.

I bought Orange Box for the xbox360 today. Actually, I initially bought it on release day so I could play Portal... so I technically re-bought it. Back then there was barely a person playing Team Fortress 2 so I gave it a miss. However, having heard numerous endorsements of the game, and assuming that the amount of people playing might have picked up, I bought another copy.

What. A load. Of balls. I've been trying to play for the last few hours, but have now thrown in the towel - it's rubbish. It's like the original, TFC, but slow, with a total of about 4 maps - only one of which supports CTF- , and whining American children requiring mass-muting at the beginning of every game.

Am I doing it wrong? Have I missed something? Or is this genuinely a terrible game? I realise that the PC version has more support from Valve... but can the 360 version be so different? I'm not sure what my enquiry is with this post... but someone please explain - I'm feeling somewhat bewildered and perplexed!!
Yea the people on this site who endorse TF2 endorse the PC version...it is a completely different game than the xbox version.

Tons of maps, multiple game types, fully customizable maps and rules, about 4,000 fully active servers (during prime-time), unlockables, free updates, new weapons, hats, better gameplay, graphics, more mature community, and the list goes on.

You got the wrong version my friend, don't worry I bought the Orange Box for xbox as well and I didn't really like TF2 that much, but after I started to get into it I picked up the PC version for $13 and found it to be the best multiplayer FPS I have ever played. Loads of fun.

Screaming american childeren you say? I have the ps3 version of the orange box and i've only ever met at the very most 10 people with headsets ( none of them being those little bastards) there isn't many people on the ps3 version either but that does lead to some awesome "*gasp* i remember you" and "who's whos' ***** now huh?!?!" moments

I know about a dozen people have already said this, but get it on PC/Mac. There's way more weapons, lots of maps, dedicated servers, you won't have to pay through the nose for additional content, and the community is better. I played the Xbox version at a friend's and it felt like a totally different game.

I'm playing the PC version and it's freaking amazing, the ultimate problem is that Valve hates anything that isn't a computer, Getting a valve game for anything other than PC or Mac is just silly, just have to say.

Wow. SO. MUCH. PC ELITISM. I got a news flash for you all: TF2 on the Xbox 360 is a great game too. I still play it almost every day and I'm definitely not the only one. This whole attitude of "tf2 on consoles?? lol" is ridiculous. No, we don't get all the stuff you do but what we have is still a damn fine game. Most fun multiplayer shooter I've ever played.
A bastion of intelligence, indeed. You guys sound just like the trolls on the Steam forums, only with slightly better punctuation.

Even from my point of view (that is, someone who hates shooters and avoids online multiplayer at all costs in any kind of game), I had great fun with it. Y'know there's an option on the Xbox dashboard to completely mute all incoming voice chat, right? I haven't heard anyone since the day I bought the machine.

PC is very different, however it is not for everyone. It is probably my favorite game to play, despite VALVe's constant updates ruining its novelty. I am not so devoted that I cannot say its flawless and there are people who wont like it but it is still one of the better games of the last few years by one of the best companies.
