I thnk the major drawback to this gun would actually be the loud and relatively distinctive "BANG!". For a spy trying to conceal themself, its going to be distinctive enough that it'll alert the other players.
Seeing how a Spy can stay cloaked for however long they damn well want not, slipping behind enemy lines becomes a piece of pee-pee, and who knows, you might actually be able to get head-shot crits with this thing, so... there be upsides to the downsides. Just make damn well sure you make those shots count is all I say.

This just made TF2 way less appealing to me.
A powerful revolver was all it took?
Yes. The Spy is not supposed to be able to get kills with the fucking gun. He's only supposed to be able to keep the enemies away with it!
You are a bad Spy if you only use it to scare the enemies off (which makes no sense). I killed about 200 enemies with the revolver. Most Spy's just don't use it since they don't know when to use it.

Finally some good gun for the sniper, I always thought the gun was underpowered. Since the accuracy was way off, it didn't make much of a use when actually doing your spy-job. This baby'll finally let me blow heads off at a distance.

I can kill with the revolver, but making it even easier to kill with it is just bullshit.
But it may increase the kills done with the revolver.

I was reading the Steam forums, and somebody did some surprisingly solid math using in-game units and converted them to standard measurements. If the gun in the picture is the actual size, according to the arm/barrel ratio, the gun is .885 caliber. I'll repeat that...

The Ambassador fires bullets .885 inches wide.
Uhmmmmm

WUT. Dang a bullet that is almost an inch wide... How would you carry around the ammo for that thing?

Well these updates are all well and good, but if Valve ever gets around to putting them on the 360, I'm gunna have to play as a Pyro for a few weeks.

Huh looking back, this update would have killed me twice that I can recall. Once I met a Spy who was disguised as me, and if he had the Ambassador, that would have put me down, I think.
Second time I chased down a Spy untill we were head-to-head, and I killed him with my shotgun because his revolver couldn't do enough damage. So yeah, I think these updates are going to be well-received.

Who says there will only be three unlockables for the spy eh?
Is there a class with more than 3 unlockables?

Also, the complains about the gun:

Hahaha. You know it's just a regular revolver that trades speed for damage? So you must actually aim before shooting. If it does 3 times more damage, it has 3 times bigger cool down. And probably reload, too...

It has the ammo count of a revolver and the pinpoint accuracy of a sniper rifle, even at long range. (But remember, a gun that packs this much heat needs to cool off between shots, so make every shot count.)

sounds to me like it will probably be the same damage. the main advantage is the accuracy. it will be a powerful midrange weapon because no other guns are pin point accurate in TF2 apart from the sniper. it will have slower rate of fire, and pherhaps longer reload but trust me 100% accuracy will be worth it me thinks.

They are trying to get it to work for the 360. The problem seems to be they ran out of memory XD
I myself am a ps3 guy, but yeah, they fucking hate ps3s XD they seemed to have too many issues with the source engine on the ps3 so yeah, they just dropped further developments of tf2 on it T-T
