What are some of your favourite things the Tech Team did on this site? And not just the ones I listed here because I probably didn't get them all!

Someone didn't want you to read their thread, the Tech Team wanted you to though.

Someone didn't like the permabanned avatar, the Tech Team made everyone's avatar Grumpy Cat.

People complained that BioWare won that year's March Mayhem, the Tech Team made everyone's avatar Justin Bieber crying.

Someone promised that nothing bad will happen by posting in the thread, everyone got a warning.

When they were laid off, they changed the background of the site to the konami-code secret one and made every page load spin the page ala the Spinning Button effect. To top it off they gave everyone on the active user list (I think) infinite free pubclub, thus undercutting the subscription service of their erstwhile employers.

It's really weird going back and reading these old threads, kind of nostalgic.

I can beat them.

I was messing around with settings in vbulletin that would auto-ban anyone who had an un-verified account that was older than 14 days. The idea was to free up those usernames so they could be used by other, future users who came to the site. Well, I mixed up the setting of which group to ban and ended up banning everyone listed as a registered user. My IM exploded the following day after it performed that automated task with folks asking why they were banned and even had a few folks say I did it on purpose to get me fired. My boss called me about it and he laughed, then I laughed, then we talked about those two trying to ban me and we both laughed harder. Then we banned them. Good times.

I also, apparently, accidentally, archived 384k posts when performing a system upgrade. But I still argue it wasn't my fault it happened.
