Hello, fellow Escapists!

I'm a college student, and for one of my classes (an Engineering ethics class, to be precise), I will be working with a team to research a technology, and report on things like the ethics and ethical issues of the technology, the sustainability of the technology, etc.

So, with this in mind, does anyone have some suggestions for technologies that my group could research? There are some obvious ones (the most obvious probably being cars), but if you can think of any cool tech that might be interesting for us to research, that'd be great.

As a couple of conditions for the project, it has to currently be in production and currently be sold somewhere (as in, it can't be a prototype or something that hasn't hit the market yet). And, since we have to report on its sustainability, preferably something which may have issues in the near future with our ability to continue producing it.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Car tyres, can't be recycled because of the vulcanisation. You can make rubber tyles out of them or recap, but still.
