I... am on the internet...

Well, d'uh...

But for the last four days, I was not (except at work or on my mobile, which isn't the best place for downloading/forum-ing) because our ISP sucks and it took until yesterday afternoon for a tech to come along to have a look see (it affected everyone who used them in the neighbourhood). I was... OK... didn't get my fix of porn anime and still haven't watched ZP yet.

These days, the internet is an integral part of our lives, whether for business or pleasure, so most people would be crocked without it.

Therefore, question(s): how mad would you get if you didn't have internet access? And how quickly?

I'd become unhinged. And I have, considering the place I'm at has horrible internet. I'm surviving without multiplayer in my games, but without the ability to search stuff on the internet I'd go batshit insane.

I didn't get ye olde internet until a few years ago so it's never been a big part of my life.

I don't have e-friends, all my friends live near me so the house phone and going out are still my primary socialising tools.

The only thing I really use the net for is my games, the odd movie and this forum ... that's about it.

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest if it was to vanish.

As long as it gives me prior warning so I can put as much porn on disk as possible, that would be great.

I mainly use the internet on the weekends, because I usually come back from work quite late, so all I can think of is getting something to eat and going to bed over going on the internet. If my internet was to go down, I don't think I would be too bothered as I have a lot of books and DVDs that I need to watch, as well as quite a few games to finish as well (I don't game that much online, so I don't really need the internet for my gaming needs), so I like to think I would survive pretty well without the internet.

I would honestly flip. Luckily though, I'm going to college and majoring in computer science. While I'm nothing close to an expert yet, I've learned a few tricks to learn if the problem is on my end or my ISP, so I know whether I can fix it (possibly), or just ***** at my ISP; in this case, Comcast.

I doubt it would irritate me that much unless it extended over a week (providing I had something else to do). Dota 2 would take a serious hit though...
