Dead Space started as System Shock 3.
Wikipedia isn't always right.

OT:BioWare helped make The Witcher.
Go read the thingy I wrote somewhere in this thread. I'm not gonna write it again as I'm very lazy.

The "Memorize spells earlier in the day to cast them later" used in Dungeons and Dragons and some other systems which have copied Dungeons and Dragons is called "Vancian Spellcasting" named after Jack Vance's Dying Earth novel series, where that style of casting is thought to have originated

Jack Vance was later immortalized even further in the world of D&D by them naming one of their greatest villains after him... Vecna
I never gathered that actually, so yeah, you told me something I don't know

The plot of Half-Life 2 was originally vastly different to the finished product. The beginning of the game was very similar to the beginning of the original, the train ride far longer and showing large glimpses of the Wasteland, City 17, invasive Xen wildlife and Cremators. The Combine still had a human military, one of whom was a member of the resistance who himself was Alyx's father. Eli Vance was a hermit living in a cave that showed Gordon a slideshow of events between the two games. Nova Prospekt was a far smaller part of the gameplay, merely there to provide access to a train, and also included Gunship hangers. Gordon was meant to spend an early part of the game on a vessel called the Borealis, then later travel on a submarine to an air processing facility (which was replacing the atmosphere) to destroy it, that action being the one that began the revolution, then take a plane back to City 17 that would crash into a building.
So much awesomeness in one game would cause destruction of 0 division proportions

The greatest argument against unfettered Randian capitalism isn't Bioshock. It's Capitalism II---it's entirely possible to get $7 a can for soup if you play the game right.
Ehh... I don't get it. Mind explaining that to me?

Originally, the SNES was going to have a attachable disc-drive. Nintendo first went to Philips, but eventually Nintendo broke contract with Philips, and in return gave them the ability to legally use their main mascots, creating the horrid object of the Philips CD-I and the three Nintendo-themed games (two Zeldas and a Mario game)

Then they moved to Sony. Wanting Sony to make a CD operating game system called a Playstation. Sony broke contract with Nintendo, and made the Playstation and became one of Nintendo's biggest competetors.

Then Nintendo made the N64 Disc Drive, which was a steaming failure, as hardly anyone bought and few games were made for it.

And, GLaDOS mean Generated Life and Disc Operating System.

There were 150 spartan candidates but roughly half made it to actual combat. Also, 117 is not technically the last spartan 2 because there are a few left in certain places, but not in direct Covenant combet.

Pictures of some of the character from the Mario games can be found in TLoZ: Ocarina of Time. You can see them in the area where you first meet the princess through the little window you pass going towards her.
A little easter egg, but if you shoot it with your sling shot a red rupee pops out.

Shoot a window near it, and a person will tell you to stop and throw a bomb at you.
