The plastic cap at the end of a shoelace is called an aglet. Their true purpose is sinister.
Sinister doesn't technically mean dark or evil it's just come to be associated with those words, it's actaully from the Latin word Sinistra or as we say today "left" (as in opposite of right)
While what you said is true, part of its reputation comes from (sorry about unspecificity) either the ancient Romans or Greeks, where people who were left handed were considered evil and deceptive. (Which isn't hard to believe because even during the colonization of North America and many years later, you would get your left hand wacked or beaten if your tried to write with it.)

Before Animal House, toga parties were virtually unheard of. After the movie came out, they became a national craze.

There seems to be some confusion in the Bible over whether King David is listening to God or Satan. Compare the two accounts (as well as the hilarious consequences) of the time that David took a census of Israel (I Chronicles 21:1-7; 27:23-24 and II Samuel 24:1-17)

Costa Rica was the first country to formally abolish its military in the year 1949 after a civil war broke out the year before. Costa Rica is also the only Latin American country to be steadily democratic since 1950. On top of that, it was ranked third out of 163 countries in the Environmental Performance Index in terms of environmental health(air pollution, water pollution, and their effects on the environment) and other categories such as biodiversity, pesticide regulation, adequate sanitation, water quality index, critical habitat protection, marine protected areas, forestry, agriculture, and climate change. Compare that to the United States and Russia which sit at 61st and 69th, respectively.

I'd be surprised if anyone here knew that.

Bronze is not as durable as you may want to believe.
It's also very dirty. It makes my hands green.

Originally, zebras were native to North America, and were brought over to Africa. The NA zebras went extinct (mostly likely from over-hunting) while the ones in Africa survived to become the modern zebras we know today.

... Weirdly enough, I actually knew that.

(I was just quoting the Question from the Justice League cartoon series. Surprising he didn't follow that up with your explanation.)

Theres a species of animal in Madagascar that's kinda like a cat mongoose dog thing.

"shit.. thats a penis.. don't want sex with that."
and they shrivel it back up when they're ready.

Um...if you mix together bleach and ammonia (two common household cleaners), you get mustard gas. That's useful in case the soviets ever invade...oh, wait.
Actually, that's chlorine gas, which is quite poisonous.
