"Автомат Калашниковa 47" is it's proper name and what you would find written in red army equipment manifests.
In there you will find a full table of characters ranging from the standard Latin all the way through Greek, Cyrillic, and even Arabic. You can use the "select" button at the bottom to build a word and then copy-paste it from the box to wherever you want it to show up. It's a long process but it can be done.
Since I'm studying Russian, however, I simply set up my computer to allow me to type in Cyrillic if I tell it to switch languages. It gets hard to remember which key is for which character sometimes, but it's easy enough to setup.
P.S. Those instructions probably count towards my O.T. I'm determined to not post in this thread unless I'm offering up more useless information. However, just in case the instructions were too useful, "Cyrillic" as an alphabet was created by a Byzantine monk named "Cyril" and his older brother "Methodius" back around 850 A.D.
