-what kind of gamer are you?
Been playing since the Atari 2600 (i'm 19 thanks for asking). I play a bit of everything. I make a point to play games from different genres because when i was younger i got stuck on fighting games and i don't want to do that again. Super Street Fighter IV is one of my favorite games right now. I also played the heck out of Call of Juarez Bound in Blood, and I am a big fan of the Castlevania series. I don't play as much as some people. it is hard for me to sit with a game for more than an hour or two at a time. I don't play online that much.

-relationship history
I have had three serious relationships. One was with an emotional vampire, another was with a gold digging whore, and sadly the shortest and last was with a very sweet and kind girl that had to go back to China when her job in the States was over. As a result, i don't have a very high opinion of women.

-non game things you are into
I am a nerd of the highest caliber. First and foremost, i am into pen and paper rpgs and that consumes much of my time. I am also a liberal to the point of being a socialist, and i am not afraid to say it. I like rock music, but will listen to just about anything if the mood strikes me. I have a bachelors in history and am working on my masters.

-non game things you are not into
sports, cars, celebrity gossip. I really don't understand the appeal. I haven't watched TV in many years.

I'm a relatively new gamer. I started out as a gamecube and wii owner, then branched out towards the XBox in 2007. My favorite game is Deus Ex, and I am currently extremely bored with my collection in comparison with my excitement for the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

I've never been in a relationship, partly because I'm not very attractive, partly because I'm one introverted guy.

I like to write and draw, but usually give up on whatever I'm working on fairly quickly. I used to be into basketball, but a rather painful bone condition called CRMO has gotten in the way of that, and as a result, I'm basically just a couch potato.

I don't like watching sports, talking about cars, celebrity gossip, or normal gossip.

Well, I'm afraid it's just not that simple. To explain who you are... I think you have to get to know someone presonally.

For one thing, I've noticed that seldom are people viewed by others the same way that they view themselves...

In response;
1) I'm a broadly experienced gamer. Also, been playing since the Atari, but it was ULTRA HIGH TECH when I 1st got my hands on it. I also had Elite on my BBC Acorn.

2)Dated lots. Was a notorious root rat at uni. Got married, got divorced. Now with a long term GF.

3)See my profile

4)Uuum, the mental image of George Bush tea bagging John Howard?

1. I am a largely single player gamer who does dabble in the online scene. I like FPS, Platformers, RPG's and Horror Games, though my favorite genre is definitely 3D Platforming.

2. I have had a few serious relationships, but at the moment I'm with the girl of my dreams Zoe.

3. I like Acting. I study Drama (and English) at Degree level. I've written and stared in my own shot film. And I occasionally still write scripts.

4. I am really not into this whole stigma of "The Book is always better than the film" Just a generalization that annoys me

1. I am a terrible gamer. I suck at practically everything. I'm terrible at MMO's, Multiplayer games, Single-player games, puzzle game, action games, FPS', Third-person, you name it, you'll kick my ass at it.

2. Dated twelve women. The one I'm currently dating is by far the best of them. Plus she's a Latina, and I'm nothing if not a lover of exotic women.

I'm Swedish, fucking British women are exotic to me.

3. I like poking things. It's great fun. Especially when it kills things.

Oh, and drugs. Actually, combine poking things while doing drugs. It's, as those charming Brits say it: "Well good!"

Silly Anglo-Saxons.

4. Dr. Pepper. Tastes like shit

Oh dear. That's a rather wide-ranging bit of subject matter to delve into. No time like the present, I suppose:

What kind of gamer are you?

Well, I could just point to my username and say "Take a wild guess, Smacky", but that wouldn't really fully encompass things. Yes, simulations (and their close cousin, the builder-style strategy game) form about 80% of my game collection, everything from city builders to "realistic" sports games to Microsoft Flight Simulator, but the remaining 20% consists of a combination of western RPGs (Elder Scrolls and Fallout), Japanese strategy-RPG hybrids (stuff like Advance Wars and FFTA/A2 and Fire Emblem and Disgaea on the GBA and DS), a few more mainstream titles (the Grand Theft Auto trilogy on PS2 plus the Mega Man Anniversary Collection) and some random other stuff (Katamari Damacy, for example).

But to answer with a nice short answer: I'm a PC strategy and simulation gamer.

Relationship History

I'm 33 years old. To say I've been around the block a time or two is to...well, frankly it's to understate the point. I was married for five years to a girl from whom I want those five years of my life back---it's not so much that she was an emotional vampire as that she was way too risk-averse to let me venture outside my comfort zone in an effort to improve myself. When I decided after getting fired from a job in 2008 to go back to school rather than continue to work a series of soul-destroying, low-paying jobs, she hounded me constantly about how she'd rather I bring money in so she could feel safe and secure...then when it became clear that I had something in my life besides her (the education and budding social life that's made me realize how much happier I am without her in hindsight), she asked for a divorce, something I was only too willing to grant her. Thankfully we didn't have any kids.

I've been in other relationships, some better than others, but I'm not going to yammer on all day here.

Non-Game things you are into

HUGE sports fan. I love basketball and boxing above all, but as a general matter if it involves a competitive athletic activity being contested at the highest level of competition, I'll usually find something in it to enjoy. I watch baseball, football (American and "real"), hockey, rugby (league and union)...although I'll admit I'm not a big fan of American football or mixed martial arts. But beyond that, if it's on ESPN chances are good I'm tuning in.

Also, I love Romantic Period operatic overtures (which is odd because I otherwise don't like opera), classic cartoons, Marx Brothers movies, the nuts-and-bolts inner workings of business (everything from supply-chain and logistics to cost accounting to capital-allocation decision trees---the stuff that the extroverted schmoozers shy away from but that any company would go bankrupt without. My education has really opened my eyes to just how limitless my career options are and I'll probably find a job somewhere that I'll love), and I've inherited my father's weakness for a pretty face and a smile that is frankly the reason I'm on this earth in the first place. My dad never met a skirt he didn't want to chase (but in fairness to the man, when he knocked up my mom he got married and settled down, faithful to her until the day he died. Taught me everything I know about honor, commitment, and what it means to be a real man.)

Non-Game things you are NOT into

Nerd stuff, for starters. Unlike most gamers, I really don't give a flying rat's ass about comic books, sci-fi conventions, anime, manga, cosplay, any of that geek stuff. I'm a jock at heart, a relic of my high school days when, before the sports injuries set in, I was a damn good baseball and basketball player. And I get hot under the collar around people who think that what's going on in Justin Bieber's or Lindsay Lohan's personal lives is somehow important and worth discussing. I find such people shallow and moronic most of the time.

I also claim to be indifferent to politics, but I have a very strong Jon Stewart-like streak to my political beliefs, finding political theater on both sides of the spectrum (left AND right, Democrat AND Republican) to be loathsome and to stand against the foundation of a healthy democracy. As such, I tend to get sucked into discussions of revolution and anti-government rhetoric (not that I like the people involved in that any better than I like the politicians.)

1. Well, my first system was a PS1. Grew up on the likes of Spyro and Sly Cooper, and Jak and Daxter. There's plenty of "classics" out there that I have never played, as they were basically before my time. My shortlist of "Best Games Ever" probably includes Mass Effect 1&2, Uncharted 2, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed series, and God of War 3. Yup.

2. Ugh...Not yet. Let's just say that middle/high school was not a fun time for me. Getting better now I'm in college, but...Well, I'm working on it.

3. Ah, well, I like creative writing, I often play basketball with my friends, I used to play guitar, and...that's pretty much it. Oh, and awesome TV like Dexter, Fringe, Modern Family, etc..

4. Jersy Shore, most reality shows actually, hipsters, cigarettes/cigars (if only because they smell like shit), sports, anime/manga(which I realize is really general), and memes. Most of them are completely unfunny.

What kind of gamer are you?
PC only, mostly RPG:s and shooters, and on the odd occasion RTS games as well. Favourites are old-school RPG:s like Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Neverwinter Nights (only the 1st) and Deus Ex.

Relationship history
Getting married in about 2 months to my boyfriend of five years. So it's pretty good! :)

Huge book nerd, reading about 1-3 books a month, preferably fantasy or sci-fi. Current favourites are Wise Man's Fear, The Way of Kings and the StarCraft Collection. Also a bit of a training-freak, I run about 10km 4 days a week...

What kind of gamer are you?

A bit of all over the place. I can't really tie myself down to one particular genre and never have due to me being inspired by a quote from the TV children's show Arthur in which it was conveyed as unwise to constrain yourself to a single interest [in music] so I usually am pretty far flung to whatever tickles my fancy. However that selection is very narrow as my tastes are rather picky, and is also modulated by my parents and the beliefs that they passed down to me in Christ for being highly disinterested in overly violent or overtly sexualized content. That, and I've never cared much for RPGs, JRPGs, Fighting or Sports games. I've played all of the Rachet & Clank games, played a bit of Super Mario World and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, and the main games that inspired what I like include Sim City 3000, Sim Golf, Burnout: Revenge and Ace Combat 5. I have a knack for finding a game I like and playing it until 100% completion. This fate has ensued for Half Life 2 Episode 2 (and preceding games), Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door, Ace Combat Zero and Burnout Revenge. I also very much enjoyed large swathes of my brothers gaming career through playing Ratchet & Clank Going Commando, Champions: Return to Arms, Jak II and him being able to beat all of the special secret levels on Super Mario World.

Relationship History

I've never dated per-se and have never had a girlfriend. Beyond that, details regarding this aspect of my life I would not wish to disclose on a public basis directly.

Non-Game things you are into

My Dad has always been a huge role model in my life, and has had a career working for the BC Ministry of Transportation & Highways since before I was born. Thus I've always been fascinated by his line of work, directing, investigating and administrating construction projects like bridges and tunnels and things. This also ties into my fascination with many aspects of practical scientific discovery and engineering. Compounded with my Star Wars fanboyism when I was 15, this is conflagrating as of late into a huge interest in the earlier NASA missions. (I know the names and results of all of the Ranger, Gemini and Apollo missions, as well as numerous names and identifications of the Space Shuttle missions)
Another aspect of me that was kindled at an early age was animation, Disney in particular. Beauty & The Beast has probably been my favorite movie for ten years now, maybe longer still. In addition to the introduction of computers into my life (fun story, that) its why I'm currently studying to get a job at Pixar. I also love classical music due to the higher level of complexity to the sound, and as of late have fallen in love with pipe organ music, Bach's repertoire in particular.

Non-Game things you are NOT into

Trolls who prey on those who are not savvy enough to know how to deal with trolls (the poor fellows), conspiracy theorists (anti-moon landing people in particular, who in saying what they think do a great injustice to three astronauts [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_1#Incident]), and uninformed people, militant atheists of that variety in particular. Lastly, Insanity Wolf meme, I'm on a Boat, Anonymous and people who think robots will take over the world.

-what kind of gamer are you?
Due to my family's lack of money throughout my childhood years, I missed out on all the handhelds and didn't get a DS until 2008 and 2010 for a Wii. I have had a super nintendo and Nintendo 64 and I've got an xbox 360. Obviously, I'm a rather big fan of nintendo, though I haven't played all of their games. My favorite series is The Legend of Zelda. Weirdly enough, my favorite game, at least for the 64, would have been F Zero X, if it weren't for my biased love of Ocarina of Time. I'm not that big of an RPG fan. they just aren't my thing. I don't really mind FPS's, and I love Left 4 Dead.

-relationship history
My longest relationship lasted a week. Actually my longest would be 4 months but I don't like to count it for reasons not worth mentioning. That being said, I've only had 3 relationships, and obviously they didn't work out as I am single.

-non game things you are into
... I like baking and making crafts. The other day I made a dream catcher, some time soon I'm going to make a Hawaiian Lei from tissue paper. I like photography, and everything about it, and sometimes I draw, and mostly I play the piano.

I'm not into sports, trends, fashion, reality tv shows, and school. Never been a big fan of school.

what kind of gamer are you?
Until somewhat recently I identified myself primarily as a Nintendo gamer. I've had almost everything Nintendo produced, going back to the SNES and a Gameboy Pocket. The only time I ever had a non-Nintendo gaming console was briefly having a Sega GameGear before it broke, and now I have an X-Box 360.

As for the kind of games I play...pretty much everything besides racing games. Not because I hate them, just because I suck majorly at them. I'm not too fond of RTS games either, but I can play them on occasion when I want to.

relationship history
Growing up in an area that only seemed to contain gay guys AFTER I moved away from it, I never had a boyfriend when I was younger. That might also be because when I was younger I was a bitchy asshole who seemed to dislike everyone I met. But currently I'm on my first and to-date ONLY ever boyfriend. It's lasted a good few months now, and we see a lot of each other due to both living in the same town and going to the same University.

non game things you are into
Drawing, writing, reading. If I'm not playing games or randomly surfing the internet, I'll probably be doing one of those 3. Oh, and listening to music too. Big music guy, mostly classical music...which everyone seems to think I'm weird for liking, but fuck them.

non game things you are not into
Any kind of sport beyond snooker. Fashion too. I go against my sexuality stereotype by just not giving a fuck about fashion. People say I dress too well to not care, but I don't dress myself to obey fashion, I dress like I do because it's comfy and I think it suits me. That's it. I don't give a fuck what Gucci or Prada or any other of those worthless bastard companies are currently promoting. Oh, and reality TV shows. god I hate them so much it's unreal. why would people tune in every damn day to watch a bunch of pricks act like pricks together in front of a camera? HOW IS THAT INTERESTING!?

What kind gamer are you? I will play anything really. The last time I visited my parents I finished "God hand" on the PS2 for my dad, and last night after my study group was finished studying, we played a couple of games of "Mario Kart wii" I will play anything if it means I can have fun (prefer "God hand" to "Mario kart" any day of the week though :) ) I have something like 15 consoles (both home and handheld)

Relationship history: Haven't been in a relationship for 4 years but I have had 3 boyfriends, all of which I am on good terms with.

Non game things that I am in to...: Ice hockey, American football, basketball, Baseball, Rugby union, reading, playing the guitar, archery, watching cartoons, rock climbing, watching any movie/ TV show with Vincent D'Onofrio in it (that's why he is my avatar :D ) and hanging with friends (it's a shame that my studies don't allow much of a social life :( )

Non game things I am not into...: Fashion. I like looking nice and presentable, but I think some people take it a bit too far (but I suppose people can say the same thing about my gaming habits :) )

What kind of gamer...."hardcore" I guess, In massive quotes. Not a douchebag MLG pro type, I just like difficult games, and I don't really care for kiddy games or motion controls. I like RPGs and shooters, but I'll definitely go for other genres as long as they're good.

Relationship history: nonexistent.

Things I do for fun not gaming related: I like to read. I'm interested in history, particularly military history. I also like science. I spend tons of time on the internet, mostly watching videos. I've recently gotten into reddit, and I'm hooked.

Things I do not like: Sports, personal hygiene (although I do stay on top of it, I'm not gross, I just find it inconvenient), school (but I do love to learn), most people.

Let's see:
1. I've been playing since the Sega Genesis with an old Aladdin game and Earthworm Jim. I prefer RPG's and shooters mainly. I have been known to take interest in other genres if something about it stands out.

2. Have never been in a relationship before. I'm actually trying to get my shit together first.

3. I'm an avid reader, though due to monetary constraints I can't go out for books as much as I'd like to. I'm also open to try D&D.

4. What is happening in celebrities' lives, people that are self-important [insert noun here], and half the shows on Adult Swim. I seriously don't get the point of Tim and Eric or Children's Hospital. Maybe I just need to get high to understand it.

-what kind of gamer are you?

When I was very young I was a nintendo gamer, then things went downhill after N64 so I went to PlayStation. Now im no longer a console gamer, Im a PC gamer and boy do I love it.

I stick with FPS, unless there happens to be a really good RPG game or something.

-relationship history

Well...I don't wish to bore you all, so I'll keep it simple. My relationship history is bad. And by that I mean I dated 2-3 guys at a time and threw a girl or two into the mix to keep it fun (fyi im a girl). Keep in mind most of them were online bf/gf's. And if I needed to guess I would say I dated about 50 guys and 10 girls and im 19 going on 20. I can't remember all of the people I dated but a few do stick out. Like my longest relationship was with a guy named Adam. Boy did I know how to pick them, stubbern as hell, thick headed, came from a military family kinda guy who was living in the middle of no where. Four years I put up with his bull...after three break ups I had enough and left him for good. The next guy I dated, guy named David. Sweet as could be, a very good guitarist, kind, gentle, caring, a bit emoish at times. Then he up's and leaves me because he thought me and my boyfriend now were getting to close or something. I never figured that out since we were all close friends...and last but not least my boyfriend now Gary. Wow I hit the bloody jackpot on him. The best guy I have ever dated and...I know deep down he is the one for me. Im never going to find someone else like him and I want to spend my life with him. We have both made it clear to eachother once I finish school and get some money together Im going to go see him and get married. That was a bit longer then I wanted it to be sorry.

-non game things you are into

Music, drawing, art in general, reading, rping with some of my art buddies, talking with my boyfriend.

-non game things you are not into

Sports, listening to parents, school, dealing with trolls on forums, having some jerks make sexist comments about me.

I got into gaming, when my brother bought his first PS1 and Metal Gear Solid.. Been hooked on gaming and MGS ever since. I play a lot of different games, but i prefer games where you have to think just a little bit over what you are doing. The only multiplayer games i play are racing and FPS. Played quite a bit of WoW when i was younger.

Relationship history is.. well, I've only been in a relationship with 3 girls, where the last one was the longest, 6 whole months! Only reason that ended, was because she was older than me and started asking me about babies, (my sister was giving birth to my beautiful little niece at that time) so i ran for the hills, i ran as fast as i could. Only ever been in relationships with older women, talking 4+ years here. Untill now, i've never found the girls on my own age mature enough (atm im 20 years old)

The nongame things i am into.. Music, airsoft, boobs and cars.
I've allways been a huge fan of music, brought up by a father with a longhaired picture on his driving license, rock and metal have allways been the preferred style. Except when i in my middle teens, rebelled against my parents and was into gangsta rap lol (to embarrased about that tbh)
I've been playing airsoft for the last 4 years now.. Milsim (Military Simulation) in fact, to the point where my combat gear exceeds the price of my entire wardrobe put together. I play in the danish M84 camopattern, with Blackhawk load bearing equipment, top it of with a pair of Oakley SI M-Frame 2.0 fragmentation sunglasses. And ofcourse my tuned Magpul Masada ACR.
Cars have allways been a favorite passtime, taking them apart and putting them back together. I got my first car at the age of 16, you can't legally drive in Denmark before you hit 18, and passed a 3 month after school/work course, what a piece of shit that was.. A 1988 VW Golf Mk2 1.8 GTI. When i was finished with it at my 18th birthday it was a dream machine tho.. god it was retro and beautiful........Untill i crashed it, beeing younger and dummer than i am now (still young and dum) So i got a Ford Escort 1.Death, that i fixed up with a nice little turbo.....Untill it blew the engine. So now i have a new car, a Seat Ibiza 1.4 TDI (ecoracer babyh! driving 200km a day) - and dont laugh at the small cars... Cars in Denmark have a 180% tax on them, so your upper middle class if you can afford a VW lol.

Non gaming things im not into, most sports. God football (that would be soccer for all you americans) and handball are the worst.. And back in school, it was all we did. Needless to say, i skipped a lot of those classes. Only sports i've ever been into, is airsoft and motorracing..

Think thats about it.
