Hi guys, I've just had a temporary filling put in yesterday afternoon and I'm wondering if it's normal to have a noticeable slightly uncomfortable bite the next day. I've heard that I need to wear down the filling and stop avoiding eating with that side in order to correct it.

I am leaving for Vegas on Sunday and it's an issue that I hope will go away before then. Thanks

Absolutely, 100% normal. You may be sensitive to hot & cold for a couple of weeks too, depending on how deep it is.

Thanks to both of you, the tightness has gone down a lot and I'm only let with some occasional ache in the tooth directly above the filling. Hopefully this will also subside.
