Well do you have loads of loot somewhere? I started getting lag on one save until I got rid of a chest filled with 500 or so potions in a chest. I couldn't figure out why my home was so laggy until I stumbled across them.RedEyesBlackGamer said:

I tried this with my save file size at 8.7, after doing this it dropped to 8.5. I'm going to look a little deeper to see what I have within the game. Thanks for the post.
Quoting me notifies me so I can better know when you post. I've done every major questline except the Bards' and Mages'. I do a lot of quests with spur of the moment exploration mixed in.NazzerDawk said:
My file was 11mb and now it's 10.1mb, so it helped I guess. This is still a great idea for most, but I've done most of the 'main' quests so I'm assuming that the monthly wait won't alter anything related to quests so it won't lower people who have save games like mine.

ok, i done the wait 30 days "fix" with my 12mb file, i sold all my potions, cleared almost everything from my containers in my only house(riften), and waited an extra 2 days on top of the 30 to make sure, so thats 32 days waiting.... what a waste of time that was, my 12mb save file didnt budge...........

Well, this work very well for people with a 50 mb filesize file, what you should have done if it lags is to turn off completely the auto save function. This will stop freezing. THe lag won't come until it is around 40 mb the size.budheadz said:
