Not true at all. Bad Company 1 and Oblivion were T, and those games were awesome!

Well, I live in Minnesota, USA and on my box, it says "M". Oblivion was rated T at first, though, before the ESRB changed it, so maybe you just got an older copy.

Well, that's part of it, but a lot of the reason is that the rotting corpses (zombies, things in Oblivion Gates, other things that Necromancers have experimented on) were a lot more detailed and graphic than what they originally showed the ESRB. I mean, if you've actually looked around their lairs, there's some grim, gruesome shit there! But yeah, your copy may have the T rating posted on it, but its current actual rating is M.
