I find it interesting how almost every U.S. citizen has mentioned the rev.war, and not a single Brit has even touched upon it. Highlights the importance of each in each nation's history, don't cha think?
1. Innovation.
2. Democracy.
3. Justice.
4. Hypocrisy.
5. Engineering.
6. Good food.
7. Fantastic, world-shaping music.
8. Commonwealth.
9. Queen (Unfortunately.).
10. Black Cabs, Red buses, phone booths, and other assorted and regrettably outdated images.
I'm proud of my country. Seems to be quite a passée view to take, now-a-days. Britain may not be as powerful as it once was, but then no modern country anywhere in the world is or was as powerful as Britain used to be, it's a foolish comparison to make. As well as having hundreds of inventions to our name, we are still world-class scientists, engineers, soldiers, artists, and more. We're great at almost everything we do...
...Except sport, of course.
