And in the end it turned out to be a very fun game to play?

Well I was amazed that a game based off of a King Kong movie would turn out fun and playable... but you know it really was.

You know also my friend Tony and I used to joke about playing a Halo game where you were a Marine:
"Oh yeah I got one... oh damn I'm DEAD!"
But then along came a game called ODST.... and that game rocked.

That's honestly the best one I could come up with. Especially during the early "chainsaw" stages. I could just imagine that meeting:

Disney Rep: We want to make a game with you, Squenix.
Squenix Rep: We want to make one with you, and we have an idea!
Disney Rep: Throw it at us!
Squenix Rep: Loveable Disney characters team up with a random anime boy and Final Fantasy characters in order to battle heartless beasts!
Disney Rep: That sounds gre---
Squenix Rep: WITH CHAINSAWS!
Disney Rep: ... Let's discuss it a bit more.

Deadrising, ZOmbies appear because of radioactive wasps, thatw as ridiculous, but the game was GREAT! FANTASTIC!

ICO .. and on topic I can't think right now. Unless you count Kane and Lynch, where the two main characters are the most horrible emotionless idiots ... and yet I somehow connected with them :|

I dont think a lot of old school games really count, cause not a lot of em focused on the story but more on the game play. And the fee to continue playing is an obvious winner

The original Devil May Cry. Anytime there was a cutscene I wanted to shoot myself but gosh darnit, the gameplay mechanics and combat were just SO much fun!

My favourite weird game idea has gotta be Retro Game Challenge. Some crazy guy sends you back in time to play old games because he sucks at new ones.....

That sounds alot like me.

I can't think of many, really.

I suppose if someone told me about the Simcity series, or ANY Sim series today, I'd be like "WTF, I could just go watch a person/town/city go about it's life irl, and it'd be far more varied!"

Yet somehow, I love 'em.
