FFVII: Advent Children.

I bought it on launch day, brought a bunch of friends over, and we were just massively disappointed. Awful fanservice, terrible VA, too much focus on minor characters or characters that didn't even exist in the game (like the dumbass kid), and even character personality was totally changed - Barret was pretty similar, but what happened to Reno? He went from serious and capable secret agent to totally ineffectual comic relief. Just awful.

Fight scenes were almost good, but each of them had SOMETHING stupid going on - most were 1v1 (when the hell did anyone fight by themselves in FF7?), most had no magic (despite materia being a huge deal in that universe, and the main party ending their journey with enough of it to paint their houses), and even Tifa's almost-good fight scene was ruined by the generic bad guy's cell phone ringtone being the victory music.

Cheesy, awful, trash. I still want my money back.

I love bad movies, so I think I'll win.

I have some movies from the Shaw Brothers (look them up!): The Mighty Peking Man (King Kong ripoff), Infra-man, Oily Maniac. I also have all five Highlander movies, those are really bad. I have Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky, an over the top violent kung fu movie based on a manga. I also love Beastmaster III.
I used to have some movies from the Asylum, a company that makes movies that rip off current block busters. When Transformers was just out, they made Transmorphers. When Marvel made Thor, they made their own crappy Thor. Those movies are just too awful to keep. Good for a laugh when you start watching, but at the end you just want to kill yourself.

Dead And Breakfast is the only one off the top of my head I can think of.

Oh wait, Razorback, The Manitou and assorted Troma flicks.
Thought the Troma ones can't possibly count.

Top 5 worst movies that I love and why:
5 Ghost Rider on Blu-Ray: You know what look pretty in HighDef? Fire.
4 Batman Forever: Gritty is not the same as Good and Camp can in the hands of the right person be AWESOME.
3 Street Fighter the Movie: Raul Julia. See this weeks Movie Defence Force for more info.
2 The Devils Advocate: The Batshit Insane of Al Pacino Versus The Dull Suprise of Kenau Reeves -- FIGHT!
1 Xanadu: Gene Kelly out for one last Hurrah, can almost be seen as a seaquel to his 1950's Greats. Also the dance off between the 50's Club and the 80's Club is genuinly awesome.

The only bad movies I bought despite knowing they were going to be bad were Dead Space: Aftermath and Doom, both coincidentally being video game adaptations based on action-horror franchises.

Other than those, all the other bad movies I own are parts of series collections alongside much better movies that I actually watch. But even that list is pretty short, only consisting of The Neverending Story 2-3, The Matrix 2-3, and Tremors 4.

Every other movie in my collection I like for reasons that don't involve heavy doses of irony.

Seriously though, I liked it too, but roughly 6, 7, 8, out of 10 people will say they really disliked it.
In my experience, there's no middle-ground when it comes to found-footage movies, you either love it or you hate it.
Well on Metacritic it got 6.4, on IMBD it got 7.1 and in general it got good reviews, so I'd say about 3 or 4 out of 10 people disliked it.
I liked it and I dislike found-footage films. I feel found-footage is boring because most films using it are generic horror films.
OT: The Descent. That film is just awful and really boring in my opinion. However I got it as a present so if you bought it for me and are reading this, I loved it thank you very much...

I just bought a movie that looked freaking terrible for laughs called Foodfight!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foodfight!

And for now here is a question for you guys, what is your movie you bought that looked bad/is bad for laughs?
You should check out Red Letter Media where they review a number of old movies and judge which is best of the worst movies.

I dont really have any bad movies, have some old kung fu movies and cheezy horror movies. But when i had videos, i had loads of terrible but fun movies. Some of the older Jackie Chan movies like Winners and Sinners are fun but bad. lol

I have over 600 movies on DVD, and I am a fan of dodgy movies! :p

Some of the worst ones though, that not even I enjoyed were the Jack Falls trilogy, a rubbish Fast and Furious wannaby called Redline and so-bad-it-was-good-then-bad-again film called Battleground.

I also have a collection of shit shaky cam horrors like 'Skew' and 'The Paranormal Event'! :D

I like the corny action flicks from the SyFy channel and similar films like Anaconda 3, Sharktopus, Bear, Mongolian Death Worm Dinoshark, Lockjaw, Aliens vs Ninjas, the entire Tremors collection, Minotaur, Ninja Assassin, Dinocroc vs Supergator, Shark in Venice, Sand Sharks (The ironic thing with this list is i'm not really a fan of sharks, they just make great monsters in cheap films!) Frankenfish and the 'mega-' titles: Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, Mega Snake, Mega Piranha, Mega Shark vs Crocasaurus and Mega Python vs Gatoroid!

Then there are things like all 7 Police Academy films too..

That's all I can remember at the moment, but I have loads more!

Die Another Day, it was a present from a friend who has very strange taste in movies.
Vantage Point, because there was a 2 for 1 deal on and I thought it looked interesting. It's not.

Spy Kids 3D.
I was really young when I got it.
I saw some of it while flipping through the channels the other day, it was terrible.
Every scene seemed built around fitting as many 3D gimmick in it as possible.
Same here.

Also, my family got Wrath of the Titans the day we got a 3D TV, and I can't get through the first 30 minutes of that movie without falling asleep.

I own a fair number of terrible movies, but some of my favorites are Hudson Hawk, Evil Dead, Mortal Kombat, Plan 9 From Outer Space, Manos: The Hands of Fate, and Santa Claus Conqueors the Martians. Some of these are cult classics of course, but all are undeniably bad (yes, even Evil Dead).

I have the first four Resident Evil films and I am looking to pick up the fifth when I can find it cheap. Even though I know they are crap I still enjoy them. I am drawn to them like a moth to a flame.

My "worst" movie would be Black Sheep, and no, not the one with Chris Farley.

This horror/pseudo-comedy movie:

The plot is just so outrageous that I had to give it a watch. In all reality, it is actually a great movie, but I get lots of odd looks from visitors. And I absolutely love the tag-line to the film: "There are 40 million sheep in New Zealand... and they're pissed off!"

I've got some bad movies on my DVR. A couple of Troma "classics" and one called Transylvania 6-5000. It's one of Jeff Goldblum's earlier movies and features Gina Davis in a hot vampire outfit plus a fresh-faced Michael Richards long before his Seinfeld success and longer before his epic meltdown during a standup comedy show.
