It's so tragic I feel sick just thinking about it. One poor kid had gone back to the mainland to 'get sweets' and when he came back his friends were being shot. It just so awful I don't know how anyone could do such a thing.

I still can't believe it...we played in the same guild during TBC and I actually ran some heroics with him and he seemed like a normal guy and then I transferred . I can't believe it , I played and chatted on Vent with a mass murderer .

Those people are nuts, muslim extremists are nuts. No true christian will actually use god as an excuse to murder then commit suicide. so its not right for anyone to group people like that together. especially since not all Christians are of the same denomination. I assume muslims are also that way. just because a few are batshit insane doesnt mean they all are. In fact i know a guy supporting the libyan rebels right now who is a muslim but wont lift a finger against a fellow man.

Then it can also be said that no true muslim will actually use God as an excuse to murder and then commit suicide. And not all muslims are of the same denomination, either. There are Shiites and Sunnis, just as there are Catholics and Protestants. There is actually a lot of symmetry in the battles between the Catholics and Protestants of Ireland as between the Shiites and Sunnis between Iran and Iraq in the 80's. It is one reason why it is so hard to get Iraq stable now because there are people of both denominations of Islam in close proximity. Most of the people would just as soon go through their daily lives of waking up, saying their morning prayers, going to the market, and coming home safe to enjoy fellowship of family and evening meal. Unfortunately there are those who would as soon let ignorance run their life and ruin the peace that the majority want.
Maybe one day we will agree to disagree, but right now it seems easier to just kill those who disagree. And now there are many people in Oslo who aren't coming home for dinner. I ain't about to come to the kneejerk conclusion that muslims are responsible. It could quite possibly be unhappy separatists who want to secede Trondheim over to Sweden. Who knows? Those who claim responsibility are actually quite likely to not be responsible, but instead are just trying to fill the void of silence to their own devices. Which makes it all the harder to find those responsible.
It is all chaos. It does nothing to help us become better as a species. I would just as soon see it all stop. Now.

Check his post history(its in the link) Male (andersnordic ) , 31 , Oslo ....older guild members recognised him by the photos... Spoke with some of them today , they too are in shock , you cannot imagine HOW NORMAL he seemed . Of course , he had some "casual need to get out of my server" , but almost half of the wow community has that attitude.

Edit:+I see now he says he's a political analyst , which all adds up from his facebook page. IT also seems he's been inactive for almost a year , he probably has been planning this ever since.

There is a good chance that is in fact him, it does mach the info given on his facebook page. Still hard to believe, even if the evidence suggests it.

Yes, this was probably done by an EXTREMIST muslim group. Don't judge all of them because what very few of them does.

Sure, it is, but there is still a bias. When a White Christian commits a crime, he is just a 'man' or she is just a 'woman'. When a person not of that description commits a crime, their ethnicity, origin and religion are used as modifiers to the fact that he or she is simple a 'person'. 'White' and 'Christian' are only used as modifiers when those factors are indeed causal, such as 'White man kills black man in hate crime' or 'Christian group pickets funeral'.

Readers assume causality when such adjectival modifiers are used, such that their regular use in reporting about non-white, non-Christians adds significantly to public ignorance. 'Black man robs convenience store' or 'Muslim man kidnaps child', or whatever, imply by default that being black or muslim are causative factors in those crimes. Quite often, they are not so.

Or are we going to wise up and realize religion has NOTHING to do with terrorism, and it never has. Terrorism, yes even 9/11, has political motivations. 9/11 was all about the USA backing off its puppet regimes in the Middle East for example.

He apparently expressed political opinions belonging far right (in both the social and economic spectrum) on a forum. He held opinions drastically different than those of the norwegian labor party, which could have motivated him to target them. I also doubt that his preference in deity is relevant at all though.

Now THIS was extremely surprising. Norway is the one place in the world that I expected not to have problems, and yet this nut-job comes along and blows s**t up.

As bad as it is however, I still have to give this guy props for his plans. How many of you could co-ordinate several explosives going off at once at several different areas, work a police disguise and while the country is in panic and security tightening down, go to an island and continue your work.
