It's insane. This just keeps getting worse and worse.

How does one man manage to gun down 80+ people? Is it safe to assume he was alone in this?

just....

that guy clearly wins the award for Sickest Fuck of the Millenium.
And that's just from skimming through the manifesto.
(which, as it seems, does not contain anything about his practical atrocity - more along the lines of... well, Hitler's got nothing on him)

wait a sec, edit: read the last bit as rhetorical device

I know how you feel. I live just an hour away from where the bomb went off, two from Utøya, and since the attack, the only thing I have been able to do is sit infront of the computer and TV to follow the case. I can't donate blood, because I'm not a registered blood donor (don't know which blood type I have either...), I don't know anyone who was present at any of the attacks, so I can't help them either, other than thinking happy thoughts. A part of me wish that I was there, so I could have the ability to feel what they feel, and share their pain.

EDIT: Ok, this sounded mighty poetic, and my fingers might just have taken it a bit too far. So excuse me if someone finds it pretentious.
I'm not even sure what I could do, as most of the volunteer work, if there even was any, will probably be done by now, as in helping injured people on the spot. I just wish I was close when it happened.
I'm not trying to paint this in a positive light, but helping out at something like this would probably be a good experience in the long run. Again, not saying the event is something positive, I just think I could learn things from being there and helping.

Here's a propaganda video made by Anders Behring, the shooter.

The man was insane.
Wait.
"The video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Funcom"

I'm assuming he used some Age of Conan stuff in there?
He was talking about how he'd quit WoW for AoC after all.

What did the video say, roughly?

Edit: And what's this manifesto people are speaking of?

He used some of the soundtrack from AoC in the video. A Funcom employee raged over it at The Secred World forums, along with him using the name and mark of the templars, also used in Funcoms upcomint "The Secret World".

The video contains a short version of the manifesto he published, i expect.

Everything in the video is summed up in the manifesto, but it's 1500 pages longs and explains EVERYTHING he as done the last years, and his motives.

Here's a link to the manifesto

And yes the video was removed due to the music.

Right. Thanks.

There's still a veoh-link to the video in the manifesto that works. However, unless you download Veoh player, you'll only get a 5 minute preview.

[HEADING=2] Okie Dokie Lokie! The guy behind all this mess have been identified as a conservative christian, and extreme right-winged (So much for all the islam fingerpointing). He has also pointed out in debates on the internet how he is against multiculturalism and Islam. I think it's easy to see his motivations now. [/HEADING]
No, it's easy to ASSUME you THINK you know what his motivations are.
Here is a link to the manifesto

It explains EVERYTHING he has been up to and was written by the shooter himself.

I know what this guy did is beyond atrocious and there are many people that want to see him suffer and die for it, however, I cannot work up the amount of hate to agree. For one thing it will not bring the almost-100 dead back to life. Just add one more death to this already heart-rending tragedy. Second, it would make him a martyr in the diseased minds of those that believe in what he does. Third, the reason he committed this violent act was out of hate. If we respond with hate, then we will be no better than him. I am not saying nothing should happen, what he did was appalling. I prefer that he be locked in jail for life.

I know people have used this quote before, but I feel Ghandi said it best:

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."

Thank you for letting me get this weight off my chest.

Maybe, and if it's legitimate it will be one piece of evidence used to prosecute him for his alleged crimes.

Point is, people can speculate but don't pass opinion or theory for fact.
He has already told his motives to the police, he's not trying to hide anything.

Hope this **** gets a thorough touching up from the coppers. The sad thing is Norway is a fantastic country with a prison system that is way too good for this piece of shit. I say get him hung drawn and quartered and make him suffer.

Police are apparently saying there may be a second shooter and that Anders was talking into a headset while carrying out the killings so police fear the second shooter may have escaped but none of this is confirmed.

Yes, and exactly what he has said has not yet been released to the public so far as I know.
If you'll note, the news centres, or at least the credible ones still describe him as the "suspected gunman" etcetera.

That's because there's a process to go through to determine guilt regardless of his out of court confessions.

Facts are facts and speculation is speculation.
So did you think OJ Simpson was innocent before he came out and admitted he murdered his ex-wife just because the judge and jury gave the verdict of innocent?

Typical Islamic terrorists! This is what happened when you preach a religion of hate, it only inspires all your followers to be violent!
Wait he was a White Christian?
......
Now I think it would be unfair to judge all of Christianity on the actions of one man...

Oh dear.. All, this religious bickering again?

The closest, easily understandable thing to label this psycho is Neo-Nazi. His motives don't contain even a hint of religion.
