EDIT: Out of curiosity i Retook the Quiz, just to see what would happen....and i got my badge.

ALL of those items allow you to fly...
feather = mario world
leaf = smb3
wings = mario 64
tanooki suit = sm3

has anyone figured out what he meant? this question isn't "misleading", it's just plain incorrect.

I think the "Wing" is the Power Wing from SMB3, it only fills up you Power Gauge to max which will let you run at full speed instantly AND if you have a flying item, let you fly.
