YOU FOOL!

You gathered us all into one place, soon the other escapites will find and destroy us!

In hindsight I probably shouldn't have posted here.
Yes, but we're on the internet, where Texas is the most gun-cray state. Their internet stereotypes are no match for OUR internet stereotypes in combat!

Born and raised, my friend! I hail from northwest Texas. Where mother nature is a twisted *****, and dust storms are a way of life.

Still, I wouldn't trade it for the world. The people are nice, all my friends and family are here, and you eventually get used to constantly having grit in your teeth anyway.

captcha: in over my head...
What do you suppose that means?

Live in the Houston area but I go to college in Austin (hook 'em).

Weather is so goddamn bipolar here I never know what to expect.
It can be 80 degree weather one day and the next it's 40 and windy as fuck.

I was born in Texas, family moved up to west virginia when i was little, was there at the start of this year (just north of dallas i believe) but due to...things...wasn't able to stay long enough to...well stay longer. Had moved back to wv when that fell apart but i am in Oklahoma right now, which isn't bad...except for the wind that makes it feel like it is 5 degrees here (i do not like the cold that is why i left wv -.- ( well...ONE reason anyway)). I think i will end up back down in Texas sooner or later (only one small area i HAVE to avoid there) i rather enjoy the year round summer thing, and yeah people are pretty nice down there...only had one person try to run me over while i was out walking (it is usually 20 a day (i guess i am worth a lot of bonus points or something)).

I appreciate Texas.
They give us steak, they give us King Of the Hill, they give us Retro Studios.
As a New Yorker, I am proud to live in the greatest place on earth, and the only place in America, but Texas is pretty cool.

I have lived in Houston for 36 years and this is par for the course.. If there is one thing you can say about the consistency of Houston weather is that it is so damn inconsistent.

But it is amusing to see people dressing like its -20F when it's only 45F.

Born in raised here, hell I think I had family members that came down with the first 300 settlers lead by Sam Houston.

Nice. I have a relative who not only fought in the Texas Revolution, but was part of the group that captured Santa Anna. Fuck yeah history, neh?

Well, even though I'm a proud Texan, I wouldn't say Texas has the BEST shape. Just the most awesome and iconic one. Seriously, you can look at each individual state, and everyone can tell which one is Texas by its distinctive shape.
Exactly. the BEST.

I'm convinced that it's something in the mosquitoes that keep me around H-town. It's a pernicious symbiotic relationship, I feed the mosquitoes & they impart a blissful love of Texas.

Marshall area reporting in. Technically I was born in Montana but we moved around a lot (army kid). I'll admit that I don't really want to STAY in Texas my whole life. Been here for most of it. I'd kinda like to try somewhere else for a while. lol

I realize this barely counts, but I'm going to be in Houston for business in a few months. Any locals have recommendations as far as restaurants/comic book stores/etc. worth checking out? :)
