3. I started playing it when it was released on PS3 (november 2007). Stopped playing it a few months after that when the online support of that version started lacking.
4. Not many, I guess... since I play the PS3 version... Some of the people I played most are on my friends list, though.
5. Not that I know of.
6. Snipers camping on both sides of 2Fort, shooting each other.
7. Not much, but I had met some. People that just gravitates through the map, doing stuff that helps noone, even themselves (like practicing rocket jump, shooting at a wall or standing alone on a capture point wearing a disguise).
8. My favorite is the Heavy and the Pyro. My least favorite is the engineer.
9. I guess I am closer to the engineer than to any other class... Didn't help to make it any better to me.
10. Capture points is my favorite. Capture the flag is my least favorite because it was the more ofter played.
11. Depends on the class, but I usually try to stay with the team to give them support and push forward (I guess that is why my favorite class is the Heavy).

- I'm not like either of them. I'm pale, skinny and I weigh 120 pounds. That will be a challenge when I make the Heavy-costume for the next cosplay-Con

- I don't care what the game mode is. I just join a server and roll with it.

- Follow teammates often. The more people you are, the bigger the chance of succes.

A: noobs never really annoy me, the only types of players which make me irritated are people that either don't read the chat even though I'm standing right next to them and making an effort to make them read it (when there's no attacks coming or anything), people that intentionally grief or "pro-gamers" who think they own the server.

8. What is your favorite character to play and what is your least favorite character to be?
A: Favorite: spy, least favorite: demoman (based on gameplay hours)

9. How are you alike with your favorite and least favorite character?
A: not at all.

10. What is your favorite mode and least favorite, an example would be Prophunt, or Capture the flag?
A: favorite: CTF, least favorite: CP-hydro-style.

11. What are some tactics you use in the game to win?
A: I'm polite, efficient and I have a plan to kill everyone I meet. In all seriousness: since I've played every single character quite much, I try to devise tactics against all as any class. Maybe except for the smallest classes against heavy.

5. Not really, not a fan of the little wankers who spout homophobic, racist, and misogynistic slurs when they're playing. Profanity is one thing, hate mongering is another.
6. Aside from the above, I hate when some blokes just don't want to play together. This is Team Fortress after all. There isn't really a solo Deathmatch option, so you gotta work as a team, not just for yourself.
7. Racists, Homophobes, Misogynists, Noobs (not Newbs), and people that just generally fuck with people just trying to play a friendly game.
8. I really like using the Demoman, not just from a cultural standpoint (as a Scots-American), but it's a fun loadout if you know how to use it properly. Not so much a fan of the Heavy, don't really enjoy acting almost literally as a mechanized tank: giving and absorbing big damage as you amble along real slow-like.
9. Other then being a Scotsman? Well, I generally enjoy a good fight and prefer to "fly the tartan" rather than flick someone off. On the otherhand, I'm a straight-edge punk who doesn't drink and, though a good natured donnybrook is one thing, my philosophies as a Humanist and a Man of Learning prevent me from picking shit with people who aren't being rude, offensive, or belligerent.
10. I'm a capture the flag and payload fan, no real reason why. Not so much a fan of Arena, Deathmatch games have a way of attracting people who go for kills solo and fuck themselves up alot rather then working as a team.
11. If it can be helped, everybody play as a team, each class playing to their strengths and using it to cover the rest of the group: medics heal and charges heavys, snipers watch out for the defenses and cover the advancing units, pyros and engineers and, in most cases, demomen cover the defenses and secure the advance. Gotta play together to get jack done. It's how most all things work!

11. In CTF, at the very start of the round I sometimes play as a Scout and attempt to get an early capture. I play in equal amounts with teamwork and solo play.

Eh, I play on-and-off for bout 4 months or so, depends on how laggy my laptop gets.

Well, I try to join in the chat when I can, do the usual warnings "X's a spy," etc.

Erm, not really. I don't play enough to get any of the acronyms, and the only ones I usually use are the warnings and what-not
6. What are some of the "pet peeves" you possess when playing this game?
I usually just get annoyed with my own system, such as when I start to lag so badly aiming consists of holding down the Fire button and praying.
7. Are there certain people whom make you angry, an example would be a "noob"?
Haven't met any annoying people while I've played, though a few times I'll be in a server where one guy insists telling everyone in the game when to rush, how to play, etc.
8. What is your favorite character to play and what is your least favorite character to be?
My favorite would have to be the Pyro. He can move quickly, take a few hits, and is devastating when met around a corner, which will become an apparent plus to me later.
My least favorite is probably the Sniper, because as I completely suck at aiming which completely will derail any attempt I would make.
9. How are you alike with your favorite and least favorite character?
Well, not really like in personality, but strategy wise I'd have to choose Heavy, because he finds a problem (usually revolving around the fact of too much blood being in a person), and he keeps going at it despite what is thrown at him (ie, bullets and flamey-fires of doom).
10. What is your favorite mode and least favorite, an example would be Prophunt, or Capture the flag?
Prophunt, when I get to hide because it's a (sorta) battle of the wits. Otherwise, any defense game, ie, Capture Point or Capture the Flag.
11. What are some tactics you use in the game to win?
Depends on the character. With pyro, I like to just wander randomly around, sneaking and staying out of sight while blasting any enemy I happen to meet and if needed I'll go KAMIKAZE on groups of enemies.For the Spy, I cloak as something subtle (ie, Engi or Demo) and try to sneak to the enemy's base, uncloaking and taking out who-ever I need. Engis I'll find random, hidden points near an important area and place turrets. The rest I just do whatever is needed to be done.

Engineers who build their exits facing walls.
Other friendly snipers who can't properly alternate on a good position (ie they hog it instead of going out, firing, and coming back to reload while I fire my shot). Usually they die fairly quickly, though.

Spawn-campers (Pyro, Spy, and Demoman, for the most part).

Sniper
Heavy

No idea.

I like Capture Point and Territory Control the most. I hate King of the Hill.

I play sniper, so my tactics can be summed up as "dance around quickscoping the hell out of everyone for a minute or so, then go to another spot and repeat."

6. What are some of the "pet peeves" you possess when playing this game? It really upsets me when people get angry about not winning, yet refuse to cooperate as part of a team
7. Are there certain people whom make you angry, an example would be a "noob"? Bandwagon snipers, i.e. people who will play sniper even when you already have five playing, or people who pick their preferred class in spite of whatever configuration the rest of the team is using.
8. What is your favorite character to play and what is your least favorite character to be? Favorite is demoman, least is sniper
9. How are you alike with your favorite and least favorite character? Me and demoman both love drinking whiskey, me and sniper have the same glasses.

11. What are some tactics you use in the game to win? Using the Demo's sticky grenades to remotely cover important areas such as capture points while actively engaging in combat using the contact grenades. Much more difficult than using stickies face-to-face but this way you as one player can server a defensive and offensive role at the same time. As an engineer it's very important to make proper use of corner cover and balancing it with your gun's firing angle. Also as engineer, you must know when to stick with your gear and when to engage the enemy. Being overly defensive will ensure your gear's success and longevity, but leaving it to help play offense can make the difference between a successful push and a further loss of ground.

5. Is there certain "lingo" that is appropriate for game play? - Comprehensible English preferably to facilitate international communication. Otherwise, I didn't get the question.
6. What are some of the "pet peeves" you possess when playing this game? - Idiotic team mates. Not "simply bad players"... I'm talking about beyond the absurdly stupid here... Like camping on attack, or going all spies on defense... Makes me rage.
7. Are there certain people whom make you angry, an example would be a "noob"? - Idiots. See above. I don't mind "newbies" as in newcommers, everyone was new once... I do mind downright stupid people. Just because you're new it doesn't mean you have to be mentally defective. I don't expect you to understand the intricacies of each class and weapon, but I do expect you to at the very fucking least shoot the enemy... Then there are people who might play well, but still act like generally unlikable fucks. It's a big list...
8. What is your favorite character to play and what is your least favorite character to be? - Favorite is Sniper. Least favorite, possibly the medic, since it forces me to take a more passive role and rely on team mates which may or may not suck.
9. How are you alike with your favorite and least favorite character? - With the Sniper? Precision striking. No use for 100 hits when one well placed hit will do the trick faster and better. It's all about efficiency. With the medic? Erm... I'm also a bit of a sadist...? I'm curious too I guess... More to do with the character himself than his actual class...
10. What is your favorite mode and least favorite, an example would be Prophunt, or Capture the flag? - Favorite would be Linear 5 CP, KOTH and CTF provided a good enough map. Least favorite would be anything that forces one team into offense and the other into defense the whole time, like payload or a/d cp. I don't consider Prophunt a legitimate gamemode because it's a piece of arbitrary, boring and poorly conceived piece of malfunctioning crap... If you wanna count it, then prophunt is by far the worst.
11. What are some tactics you use in the game to win? - ...Shoot the enemy and avoid getting shot. Mostly the tactic depends on the teams and the map. Adapting is the key. Other than that the only real permanent tactic would be to avoid going gung ho and charging head on to certain death.
